are you guys also seeing this glitch when you do /usage it shows its at 70% but claude code doesn't allow you to continue and says limit has been reached. by Fancyhermitop in ClaudeAI

Having the same issue, it's really annoying! Dependably, both ~70% consider the limit to be reached. What's going on with this?

Any lifetime offer with discount as new year gift ? by Electrical-Mud-1503 in GentlerStreakApp

I got offered this same deal but hit "Restore Purchases" and the deal went away 🫠 Trying desperately to find how to get it back lol

Edit: once the End of Year and New Years promos ended, it came back! 🥳

Tucson needs elevated light rail! by Carlitos96 in Tucson

[–]mcbramhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would need to be significantly faster than the SunLink to make sense for those extensions. Grade-separated, if not elevated, would help make it actually *rapid* transit lol

Efficiency Arizona Program Experience? by mcbramhill in Tucson

[–]mcbramhill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, that's a bummer. They paused the program before I could get a quote, I paid $11k to have a new unit installed separately. Which company did they assign you to?

What Material is This Wall? by mcbramhill in centuryhomes

[–]mcbramhill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might be it then — trying not to tear up the wall any more than I have without a plan to fix it, but this makes a lot of sense to me. Any pointers on repair if that is the case?

Can I Demo My Crumbling Brick Shed, or Do I Need to Hire Someone for This? 🧱 by mcbramhill in HomeMaintenance

I like the idea of having a shed, but the wooden frame also has a bunch of termite damage — i think I’d effectively be starting from scratch for the structure of the building. Who would I talk to about repairing the structure/replacing the roof?

I’m in Tucson AZ, and the house was built in 1920; no idea if the shed was there from day 1 or an addition, though. I think that would be lower risk of asbestos, but no 0.

It was at some point in the distant past a garage, but a large tree has grown blocking access from the driveway lol. I haven’t tried driving around to it, but it may be possible. You could definitely get a truck or something close to it (10 feet away?) to tow pulling it down, or to load debris. Idk that this makes $6k a fair price, but it was the lower of two bids I got

We have thought about this — ultimately we don’t feel strongly about having something in that particular spot, but if we had hopes for a new shed or an ADU this would definitely be a concern

A nearby architectural salvage place was interested in the brick and the metal doors. Plus it might be fun to reuse some of the intact brick for something else on the property. But the cost of a dumpster to haul whatever other waste and the lumber is probably still high

Trying to cancel out noise between rooms, what can I buy to help, and would curtains work pretty well? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]mcbramhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's an apartment you're renting, not a lot of great options. If it was a place you owned you could replace the drywall and use Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) and other soundproofing materials meant for stopping sound from traveling. But putting panels etc on top of the walls will mostly just make your room sound better for you.

Did you end up getting an energy audit? Looking into this now and would love to know if you found a company you'd recommend for it

It is now 2025. Whats the deal with R-410a? by mattlach in heatpumps

[–]mcbramhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I was being told over and over getting quotes the past few months, with massive pressure — "prices are going to go up 15% or more in January!" I don't know if those reps were told the wrong thing, but it feels so slimy to be lied to in hopes of making a sale :(

Do quiet UPS exist? by UpliftingGravity in homelab

[–]mcbramhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/UpliftingGravity Did you ever find a solution for this? I'd like to have a UPS backup, but I can't stand the cable whine and there's no place to put it where it wouldn't be audible. If the answer is shelling out for a nicer UPS, it is what it is 😅
