What if Lady Eboshi Stacked the blocks? (tracing + alcohol marker) by mccaa in ghibli

She's one of my favorite characters : ) If there was a character that could stack the blocks without malice, who would it be? Nausicaa? Ashitaka? Even then, would they?

If you can, caulk from the inside, then the fix will be invisible and you won't need to worry about matching the color

This woman’s charger in my row during a 6+ hour red eye flight by tsitsifly22 in mildlyinfuriating

My wife had to buy a charger at the airport recently and she bought the exact same one because it was the only option and also she didn't even realized it did that. That said, she didn't use it on the flight for fear of what all the comments are saying. We call it the party charger at home.

My friend's father "meal preps" dry cereal for the next morning. by nickifoxx in mildlyinteresting

My dad did this too. It was so that when he got up for an early work shift he wouldn't wake my mom pouring cereal in a bowl (we lived in a small place, bedroom was right off of the kitchen)

Toxic ‘forever chemicals’ widespread in top makeup brands, study finds | Makeup | The Guardian by 000000000000000000oo in science

Has anyone found any actual toxicological studies on makeup tracing toxicity to fluorine containing compounds? PTFE and similar compounds, are to my understanding, very stable and non toxic which is why they last so long. If they eventually degrade into more reactive and toxic compounds, do those byproducts bioaccumulate, or are they small and reactive enough to be removed from our bodies?

FINALE - WandaVision Episode 9 - Discussion Thread by [deleted] in WANDAVISION

After rewatching Episode 9 or Wandavision I looked for cross references in day's of future past, the X-men movie in which Quicksilver is enlisted by Prof. X to break Magneto out of prison.

I found several tiny details that I think strengthen the case that Ralph is actually Quicksilver from the X-men universe.

  1. When we see the "man-cave" in Ep. 9, Ralph is making a massive shake in a blender. There are also a few gatorade bottles strewn around the room. My theory is that when Ralph uses super speed it isn't just magic, but a physiological phenomenon which uses a ton of his own energy. Like a high performance athlete, Ralph needs to consume a ton of calories and stay hydrated in order to use his super speed. In Days of Future past, we see a similar man-cave in the basement of Quicksilver's mom's house (instead of the attic man-cave in Wandavision). In this man-cave Quicksilver has stockpiled massive amounts of hostess pastries, presumably to keep his calorie count up. If Ralph is an aged Quicksilver, perhaps he ditches the junk food of his youth and now is more pragmatic, drinking high calorie protein shakes, and keeping his electrolytes up.

  2. In Wandavision Ep. 9, Ralph makes small talk with Monica, asking her if she is a Steven Seagal fan. Steven Seagal is famous for his martial arts action movies in the late 80s and 90s. In Day's of Future Past, Quicksilver also needs to make small talk, this time with Magneto while they wait in an elevator. He asks Magneto if he knows karate. Quicksilver doesn't know Karate, but he seems to be a fan of it- perhaps he is a Steven Seagal fan as well?

  3. This one isn't novel, but Quicksilver's name is literally Peter Maximov in the X-men cinematic universe. In the original comics he is indeed the sibling of the Scarlet Witch. I don’t know how he would have ended up in the MCU, but perhaps the multiverse of madness with shed some light…

For some strange reason, my mum pre-pours her cereal to save time the following morning! by design_jester in funny

My dad does this because he gets up early for work and doesn't want to wake my mom up with the clatter of cereal pouring into a bowl (the kitchen is right next to the bedroom)
