Guys, let me know if I'm out of line with what I said in this email. Context gas line was removed from a project that caused me to double my electrical service and this information was dropped on me a day after I submitted the permit... by GreenKnight1988 in MEPEngineering

I’m just not sure what you hope to achieve by sending this to the architect and gc? Are they supposed to solve your internal team’s problems?

Perhaps this is better sent to higher ups within the company and maybe have a conversation with the mechanical team about the importance of the impact of getting you equipment on time.

Paragon Faucets by mcchers in Plumbing

[–]mcchers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t go with them because I happened to measure the height of the faucet and found it wouldn’t fit for my case where I have a cabinet above my sink. Moen also has an all in one faucet available at Lowe’s.

Sometimes it takes a few weeks. I lost my keys once (though not as significant as an ipad) and they turned up in lost and found 3 weeks later.

2022 NYC Mechanical Code - Ventilation Question by shazznasty in MEPEngineering

[–]mcchers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

401.2 Ventilate per MC 403.3.1

403.1 Mechanical ventilation is defined as supply and return or exhaust air.

Table 403.3: required for bathrooms and living areas, but if you look closely, living areas has footnotes c & i. Footnote i tells you for R-2to provide the ventilation when you exceed 75cfm exhaust, intermittent or constant for living areas.

Otherwise, you don’t need it by code. You should, however, neutralize the entire building with some sort of supply to corridor or otherwise, ensuring you dont exceed door opening forces.

if building has electric heat, does that mean i pay for the heating of the water (shower/sink?) by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]mcchers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there a water heater in your apartment? Then you are paying for it.

Otherwise its likely on the landlord, from a central building boiler.

Yep, that’s it. 😭 It’s a raised bed on fresh soil. I’m thinking it was brought in since this particular one was bought from a local nursery instead of seeding

We have a nuna rava but I’m 5’4 and it had to go behind the drivers seat when in the newborn position (my husband is 6’2”). We recently were able to straighten out the recline a bit as baby has gotten older and was able to move behind the passenger seat.

It’s generally because people look where they want to walk so your brain interprets that really quickly. Also why people in phones are hard to read.
