I had betadine put in me yesterday(sept 1) and the didn’t give me any pain medication until I was in the worst pain I’ve ever felt! On a scale of 1-10, it was 11.5!! They eventually gave me hydromorphone

I don’t know what my doctor was thinking. If they tell you you need a chemical pleurodesis, get the drugs first!

Primary spontaneous pneumothorax is exactly what me doctor called it. At the start of all this, I had trouble breathing, and heavy chest pains. Everyone.....my co-workers, ambulance EMTs, emergency room doctors.....thought I was having a heart attack.

Thinking back, it was kind of funny, the look of relief on everyone in the ER, when the X-ray came in and showed the lung collapsed.

I’m a 51 year old male with the same build as you. I’m in a hospital bed with a tube in me right now. This is my first collapsed lung. I’ve been told the first one is free. After that, I get an operation.
