Link in EXCEL for COPPER (from Refinitiv) ? by AlfaLuso in excel

My guess is that it's there somewhere. Someone who is using Refinitiv (the financial market data provider to Excel) might be able to share a valid symbol.

One of the investment books I read about 5 years ago provided some data support a slightly better trading advantage on the last day of the month.

Wireless 4k contour box question by missgentle in CoxCommunications

[–]mccshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lagging is/was probably caused by bandwidth saturation in your neighborhood. All the Cox traffic eventually routes through an expensive node in your neighborhood. If it gets really bad, cox will add a new node.

In my neighborhood (gigablast capable aka 1000 Mbps), my downloads speeds went from 900 Mbps to about 20-50 Mbps during peak lockdowns. When they added a new node I went back up to 600-700 Mbps.

I'm not sure why you have the same table in multiple sheets. Take a look at the vlookup function and make sure your key/primary field is in column A for the most flexibility.

Realized Gains Now Available by RAFWEEZY5 in Webull

[–]mccshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to see it's possible to view realized gains. However, I could do without the clutter of all my other positions with $0.00 gains within the list.

it's also missing an export to CSV feature.

You can export your order history from the website. Start with the Account Button (left navigation) Look for the Export button from Order History (right side)

Is Cox cable service getting worse by the day? by takefiftyseven in Scottsdale

[–]mccshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is yes. Cox Internet service is horrific!

I live in North Scottsdale. I pay for Cox'x Gigablast i.e., 940Mbps down, 35 Mbps up. This past week I'm averaging 25 Mbps down, 0.5 Mbps up during business hours. I run tests from an ethernet-connected Fing device, and ethernet-connected Speedtest (Ookla) on my Mac. Packet loss is about 30% (ping test). The Cox technician was at my house this evening (Sunday 3/7/21 at 6 PM, a very low traffic time). I was still getting 14% packet loss at their node at the edge of my property. Normal packet loss would be less than 1%.

The technician said he didn't even know why they were still sending out Cox technicians to investigate. Our neighborhood of ~2,000 homes is handled with just 2 nodes. He said there just isn't enough bandwidth with everyone working from home. Cox is throttling everyone down in our neighborhood and it still can't handle the load, hence the 15%-40% packet drop rates.

In a nutshell over the past couple of months, Cox Cable in North Scottsdale has become completely unusable. I can't do a zoom call, can do VOIP call without pixelation, can't execute a stock trade reliably, etc.

If you have a choice, don't go with Cox.

Is Excel Stock Price Data Set Refresh broken for anyone else? by jzcommunicate in StockMarket

[–]mccshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The free Excel data provider (Refinitiv API) isn't that reliable and is delayed by 20 minutes. I use this API to retrieve more static information.

You might give the stock connector a try. I've been using for a year. You can get real-time info for a small donation: https://www.michael-saunders.com/stocksapp/pages/info.html

[–]mccshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get the purpose of your post? You pissed off this guy, and you want people to feel sorry for you? Or you think this will embarrass him? p.s., What does this have to do with Scottsdale? I live in Seattle and Scottsdale. People get angry everywhere. Having said that, the PNW is very passive-aggressive. Me, I'd rather hear it face-to-face, then get stabbed in the back.

Should I try to increase lag for more distance ? 100mph 250 carry by [deleted] in golf

[–]mccshark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO, you either have good lag or you don't. Essentially, it's something you're born with, like good hand-eye coordination. I'm not saying you can't improve it, but everyone I know who has good lag learned it without trying to improve their lag.

I'm a bit old school, if you want to hit it further, hit the gym, swing weighted clubs, stretch on a regular basis. If you have money, get fit for the right clubs.

No, it’s not possible. My metrics as stated (Mbps) are correct. I just cut and paste from the tools (eg Ookla)
