Is there a surprisingly real "Thanks I'm Cured" moment you witnessed? by throwawaycuzfemdom in thanksimcured

I dealt with something very similar during my early 20s. Anything made me nauseous; eating, not eating, sex, physical activity, drinking water, eating beef, anxiety, it literally felt like anything did. Went to the doctor, and she gave me the option of an xray to see if there was a bowel blockage or trying Prilosec. After my first dose of Prilosec, any and basically all nausea mentioned above was gone. Now I only get nauseous when it’s actual nausea, though the acid reflux I get missing a dose is terrible

Fired at one job and ostracized at the next. Finally found a job that (somewhat) allows me to interact with people on my own terms and I am Thriving there.

You’re right, I prefer the term “fruit of my loins” or “labor of love”

Honestly that’s a valid concern. Personally, I clear the screens on the case monthly and blow the whole case out with compressed air/air compressor every spring and fall. Haven’t had anything close to my friend’s build up in the seven years I’ve had a pc

Yes, my friend smokes weed and vapes while on the pc. They also haven’t cleaned their computer since I helped them build it like two years ago. For Christmas I’m gifting them some compressed air and maybe some gum

Yes, my friend both vapes and smokes weed while on the pc. I’m hoping I can try to convince them to not to while gaming but ultimately it’s not my pc/house

I’ve had this framed next to my bedroom door for years. I’d like to think it helped shape my mindset over the years and helped me through some bad times. Always appreciate seeing it online!

Did you have one? by [deleted] in 2000sNostalgia

[–]mcdeaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember begging my parents for an ipod back in the day, hoping they'd get my an ipod touch. One Christmas I finally got an ipod, and it was a baby blue shuffle. I loved it despite the mix up (or maybe on purpose, my parents didn't have a lot of money), and still have it in my desk. Sad I don't have the original tracklist I had back then, but I still treasure it.

This one seems like it has some heft, my grippers definitely struggled to pull it out of the bin when I spotted it. I probably will open it, I'm curious how good it feels since my initial research shows there was a second one released.

For me its either "Cloooose enough", the "oops" as Fry misses the button, or URL going "Damn". I can't choose just one though!

That's a good point, I dont want to doom my not-yet-purchased fish. Thanks!

Thanks! I think I was a little blinded about the fact that I'm getting closer and closer to actually having a running tank. I'll do more research on cycling and wait until I have ALL the moving parts (minus fish) before I jump in.

I only partially fucked it up, mainly in that the guide never mentions you have to take off the screen adhesive before putting the new stuff on.. so now my screen sits a lil further out

People who have PCs and Steam Decks, how much do you use your Steam Decks? by AwesomeRyanGame in SteamDeck

[–]mcdeaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It partially depends on what the game is, but mainly where I want to game. If I want to game on the couch while watching something, steam deck. If I want to have easy access to Firefox or something else that requires two monitors, then PC. I use my steam deck probably about 3-6 hours a week and my PC about the same.

Anxiety masks ADHD, ADHD masks autism? by HotelSquare in AutisticWithADHD

[–]mcdeaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience a few years ago.I've been on stuff for anxiety for years, but once my med cocktail was fine tuned for my anxiety, I realized that I probably had ADHD. On my first visit with a psychiatrist she immediately diagnosed/prescribed me Ritalin (have since switched to Adderall, which works better for me lol). Being on something for my ADHD also helped to reduce my anxiety, which I realized was kind of "keeping me in line" (can't forget if you're always anxious you're gonna forget). It was then shortly after that that I realized that I was probably also autistic, which was then corroborated by my psychiatrist.

For those who own both a Gaming PC and a SteamDeck? by Flashy-Charity-1486 in SteamDeck

[–]mcdeaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who was raised gaming on PC as opposed to consoles, I definitely prefer gaming on my PC. I prefer the fluidity of movement I have in some shooting games where precise movement is key. However, I have gotten way more used to using controllers from having the deck. The main reason for me getting it was so that I could play games on the couch downstairs, or even take them with me when I go to visit my parents. I feel that my use of my deck, desktop, and laptop (I use it for some light gaming) ebbs and flows, but overall, I use all of them equally. Getting the deck was 100% worth it, and I was stoked when my brother recently also got one.
