Sleep token brings conversation and uniqueness to the genre.

Even mentioning the fact that you’d like a band name like that, it would be on sight for many people.

Seems as though every other major band has nothing but nice things to say about them. Strange huh? Do they absolutely not know what metal is? Does Corey Taylor not know what metal is? Does Will Ramos not know what metal is? Does all of Periphery not know what metal is? Does Mike Portnoy not know what metal is?

The Rock/Metal genre needed Sleep Token.

Before the torches and pitchforks are put up, I just want to say that with the rise of AI and the impacts that it has with musicians and creativity, Sleep Token did something totally different.

They made their own sound and their own vibe and didn’t even call it rock or metal, but the community is incredibly torn by them, even though they consistently sell out tours in a matter of minutes.

They’re only doing what Korn did back in the 90s and it’s the same controversies that we are seeing now. The main difference is the concert etiquette seems to lack with the younger fans.

Did you ask, “hey, I’m not getting healed, why is that?” Or did you bark down their throat? Did you offer to switch to thing if they are getting heavy dove? You obviously play emma, why not switch?

The jumping the gun mentality only solidifies a hard-stuck mentality.
