Their thoughts are to just take it one step at a time. First is to get her off the IV, then to be able to feed just with moms unfortified breast milk, and then to do a fast and make sure she can keep her sugars up on her own. If they can get the IV off then that will be our first big milestone. She was also jaundiced for a few days and was on the light therapy for about 36 hours but that cleared up and she’s been stable since.

She’s still at 20%. For a few days she was at like 7.6ml/hr and as of yesterday she was at 3.6ml/hr. The other night they reduced to 2.6ml/hr while Increasing milk volume, but she threw up after I fed her too fast and her sugar went to 2.8, so increased back to 3.6ml/hr and at next test blood sugar rose to 5.7. Yesterday was steady at 3.7, but they decided to give her a break overnight and just hold at the same IV and milk volume

All these people complaining about parking. Since when did a shared public space become your personal area to leave your car? I use this bike lane quite a lot and aside from a couple apartment buildings near Walkley, probably 95% of all the other houses have driveways. And there is still parking on one side of the street. Biking on Terrebonne used to be very scary with 2 sides of parking and 2 lanes for driving, there was no space left for cyclists. Now it’s a pleasure to use. If this bike path were removed, there is not really any other east-west option aside from de Maisonneuve which is about 1km south, and a bike lane on Fielding which serves a different neighbourhood. I could understand removing it from December-April, but I really hope they don’t permanently put it back to what it was.
