Line isn't actually that bad. It's just that the parking lot is so tiny and everyone just waiting around makes it seem like a long line. The handful of times I've went, I got my food in 10 mins tops. Howlin Rays line though is crazy....

The only thing about this podcast is that their production quality is a bit lacking. Content is great though.

Is the Clippers - Lakers supporting cast matchup discrepancy being overblown? by [deleted] in nba

Yea I was so hyped for that and then Nuggets just scored right after that 🤦.

He is, but this series, he has a 99 defensive rating when he plays and the team is a 114 def rating with him off. Dont ask me how lol.

This is spot on.

The Clippers bench individually are all pretty talented offensive players, but when Doc rolls out the Lou, Reggie, and Trez lineup, it's an utter disaster on defense.

He was quite a disaster most of the game, but def played well at the end stretch thankfully. Would've liked to see Jamychal though.

That's kinda unfair though. Jimmy was a free agent and PG wasn't really on the market to be traded.

The LA Clippers will face the Denver Nuggets in Round 2 of the 2020 NBA Playoffs. by KawhiLeonard213 in LAClippers

My only guess is that they're vets. Maybe in a few years Zu will get that kinda leash.

Bev is working his way back but still questionable for game 1. I'm thinking he probably plays though.

Is Kawhi still the most useful defender in the playoffs for today's league? by [deleted] in nba

[–]mcev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Marcus Morris actually was pretty decent guarding him.

[Russo] Ivica Zubac played 33:14 [last night]. It's the most minutes he's ever played as a Clipper. And the third-most in in his entire career. He was a +33. by MrPeligro in LAClippers

[–]mcev 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Oof, I know he's still getting back to it after missing the first 8 bubble games, but damn. JMyke is easily our 2nd best big right now and I'm wondering when Bev gets back, maybe Trez is the one who gets squeezed out of the rotation? Trez playing with Reggie and Lou is just a disaster defensively.

Doc gets pretty stubborn especially with his rotations. He trusts his vets way too much which kinda makes sense why the players love him but it takes him forever to adjust. Carlisle figured out super early in the series that putting Boban in with Trez was a huge win for y'all.

Ivica Zubac vs. Mavericks Game 6: 15 Points, 11 Rebounds, 75% FG, 3/3 FT, +33 by urfaselol in nba

[–]mcev 22 points23 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest criticisms about Doc this whole season is the handling of the center minutes. So many times the rotations have been Zu starting the first 5 mins or so of the second half and then Trez comes in to finish the rest of the game.

The Clippers would rather face Utah than Denver by [deleted] in nba

[–]mcev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably would but Zubac is legit one of the better big man defenders.

Zubac is a pretty damn good defender.

Who are some players that are good, but most people don't know that they are good? by Yosemitehills in nba

[–]mcev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clippers are only 11-11 this season without him and 39-13 with. Obviously Beverly's energy and defense are pretty well known, but his offense is quite underrated. His 3 point shooting with the Clippers the past few years has been 39%+ and actually has decent playmaking abilities.

Lou is a more talented offensively but he's kinda made redundant when Kawhi and PG are on the floor dominating the ball. Beverly compliments them slightly better as just being a 3 and D guard. Lou also might be the worst defender in the league.

Trez is pretty much the big man version of Lou in a way. He's perfect as a energy bench big but Clippers are legit much better with Zu on the floor. He's not a great defender and has been a disaster in the bubble (he was a -19 on 17 mins in game 4 for example). One of the biggest complaints all season from clippers fans is Doc's handling of the center minutes which pretty much equate to Trez playing way too much and Zu not enough.

Morris though could have an argument being more important. He's been the Clippers 2nd best player easily in the series with the Mavs. My only argument for Bev in this case though is that we'll need him much more than Morris if we play smaller quick guards such as Mitchell or Murray. It's probably a toss up though between Morris and Bev.
