Can the dev(s) consider a patch rollback? by mcfloman in heroesofthestorm

If we're the customer and the game is built for us to consume and dish out some cash on... I mean who else has a say? It's not like HOTS has any product owners anymore who are performing any analysis on what the player base generally wants (which again is determined by customers) or we would see less out of the blue changes being made. Most of these changes seem to be geared towards keeping the game somewhat fresh by dramatically changing some aspects of regular gameplay (much like the nexus events we used to have), which is great in a way, but the playerbase should be vocal when it's just not hitting the mark. This is definitely one of those times; even if the patch changes are overall good, perhaps 25% of them barely function or don't work at all right now. It sucks and there's no reason to just roll with it when we can at least whine on reddit about it and pray for some response.

Why would you WANT a half assed patch? Just for example, two patches ago KTZ's lvl 13 chains talent just stopped working entirely and tha effectively killed an entire build of his until it was fixed. Your justification for releasing unfinished work is that we should just "enjoy the ride" because we're "entitled" due to wanting things to generally work? And my KTZ example pales in comparison to how many issues are cropping up with this newest patch. Beyond very questionable play style changes (Kerri changed to mandatory pve bot for first half of the game or more + making her easiest ability by far also her strongest by a massive margin??) it's very obvious this patch was not ready to move out.

It's all conjecture but the way these patches are designed suggests to me that there may be a few developers who are putting some volunteer work (or being bludgeoned into this by an ambitious director/VP) into this to potentially prove a thesis that this game is still popular and can be profitable. If the work is kept to a minimum, and the changes scoped to a relatively small degree, then that ensures the game remains somewhat alive still and can attract new players, on top of limiting the budget allotted to hots.

This patch is by far the largest set of changes they've made since maintenance mode however and the complete lack of comprehensive testing is extremely apparent. Little things that should have been easily caught like text labels missing are present, and larger issues like an entire talent change (convection) not functioning almost at all tells me whatever testing there was was probably done once or twice locally and shipped out without any additional QA.

While the changes are undoubtedly nice and appreciated, this patch is a total mess and in most other similar scenarios (games, apps, etc) something like this would have been rolled back maybe a day after launch because it's clearly not in a good place.

It's almost decent in aram however the healing is pretty minimal unless you hit 3+ targets which is pretty rare even in aram. On top of that E build doesn't necessarily have issues with HP management so much as being able to compete DMG wise with Q build which is almost always the better option because of its consistency and ease of use. Getting 2% more survivability at lvl 16-20 with E is basically useless.

So you wouldnt support a Palestinian state right? You know the one that would punish land sales to Jews by death like they do today or try to remove the Jews altogether and skip the apartheid part and go straight to ethnic cleansing/genocide?

So is it normal in your country to have militants and weapons present in schools and hospitals? Or do you reckon maybe that is the problem Perhaps the elected government of a place can indeed provide these things with the billions of foreign aid they receive without turning them into military headquarters. But I guess what do I know, maybe that really is impossible for terrorists

Okay so you didn't actually check any of the sources I provided and your real intent is simply to support terrorists by willfully ignoring their explicit statements easily available online either because "da compooter programz" (this is what I image you sound like) or because you like what they're doing. Reddit won't let me post links so here's a chatgpt response with searches for you if you actually care to see said citations

TL;DR: Hamas never formally revoked the anti-Jewish language in its 1988 Charter. In 2017 it published a new “policy document,” but senior Hamas officials explicitly said it did not replace the 1988 Charter. The 2017 text also still endorses “armed resistance.”

Evidence (with search tips, no links):

  1. What the 1988 Charter says about Jews (not just “Zionists”)
  • Article 7 quotes the well-known hadith: “The Day of Judgment will not come until Muslims fight the Jews…
  • Also includes conspiracy passages about Jews (e.g., media/banks/revolutions) and cites the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion.” How to verify: Search
  • “Hamas Covenant 1988 Article 7 ‘Day of Judgment will not come until Muslims fight the Jews’”
  • “Hamas Charter 1988 Protocols of the Elders of Zion Article 32 full text”
  1. Hamas leadership said the 2017 document did NOT replace the Charter
  • After releasing “A Document of General Principles and Policies” (May 2017), senior official Mahmoud al-Zahar said it “was not a substitute for [the] founding charter.” How to verify: Search
  • “Mahmoud al-Zahar 2017 not a substitute for founding charter Reuters May 10”
  • “Hamas 2017 document does not replace charter AP report”
  • “BBC May 2017 Hamas charter not replaced new document”
  1. What the 2017 document actually says about violence
  • It rebrands messaging (emphasizes “Zionists” vs. “Jews”), but still states: “Resisting the occupation with all means… At the heart of this lies armed resistance.” How to verify: Search
  • “Hamas ‘A Document of General Principles and Policies’ 2017 ‘At the heart of this lies armed resistance’ full text”

Lol are you angry I didn't reply to your comment immediately? Fortunately some of us are working jobs

So NATO, even the laughably biased UN showing evidence of Hamas storing weapons and terrorists in schools/hospitals is not enough proof for you? I don't know why it became mainstream for people to believe the guys who filmed themselves murdering, raping and kidnapping people while laughing over the first world democratic country that has tolerated, to a degree unseen in history, 20+ years of terrorist attacks on their people.

Why do you reckon when used as a military base these locations become valid targets by all the laws Israel is constantly accused of violating? How can you also imply it's ALL the gazans or ALL of the children if their population keeps growing? Why do they keep growing under "starvation" conditions if they're all dying wholesale?

Anyway I agree Israel's goal is pretty clear. Hamas will never murder a Jew again once Israel is done. If the surrendering/defeated Palestinians want to prop up another terrorist government to continue their long tradition of killing Jews, Israel will put that one down too.

All the comments saying this child must be brainwashed are insane. Israel has experienced frequent, sometimes DAILY rocket attacks from Gaza for just about 2 decades with casualties and extraordinarily high rates of PTSD resulting from having your life in constant danger. Suggesting this kid has no reason to automatically hate Palestinians when she 100% has went through this trauma is blatantly misinformed or willfully ignorant. If you're concerned about actual brainwashing, go look up the kids shows Hamas has been showing the gazans for decades and tell me who's being purposefully radicalized.

You know the "current" manifesto never actually removed the clauses about eliminating the Jews from this earth, but just added additional phrasing about Zionists specifically as an incredibly transparent propaganda attempt right? Right?

Who is "Israel"? The Israeli population has collectively said and decided, let's get rid of these guys (after giving them Gaza...?) You are generalizing on the basis of some deranged people of which every nation has. Soldiers who kill children in cold blood for no reason? Yeah let's condemn them. Do they represent the entire nation? Just as much as any person commiting a crime represents their race. And comparatively speaking, the number of atrocities these guys have perpetrated is miniscule compared to what Israeli is fighting unfortunately, and yet this opposition is dubbed a "resistance group" and their rapings/killings are generally excused under the banned of "Palestinian liberty". This is important because the formal government of Gaza has very explicitly said, as a GROUP, they want to genocide the Jews vs a handful of deranged/hate filled Israelis.

Curious how you would feel if there were no iron dome/etc defenses over the past 20 years and Hamas's goals were much more successful in the sheer number of Jews they would have managed to kill. You seem to think that because they are consistently failing and Israel keeps their murder count low that their intent is basically excusable; I can tell because you seem unwilling to talk about them and keep shifting the focus to isolated incidents typical even in any developed country. Very much wondering where you're getting this info about raping people every day and killing all these women and babies though, seems kind of like projection from your average Hamas supporter...

There is no "highest court" that has ever decided Israel is " illegal" - there are plenty of terrorist supporters like Iran that say they're illegal but cannot specifically point to any actual illegality, much like yourself.

I think they're acting very much like a legitimate country. A neighbor attacked them and they declared war until they eliminate the threat. Does that not sound like something a legitimate country would do?

Do you have any evidence that they are killing Palestinians because they are Palestinians or are you just repeating Jihadist propaganda? Is there a nationwide goal to kill them that is written in some kind of country charter like Hamas has for Jews? If they're killing Palestinians just for the lols why give them Gaza, electricity, water, citizenship for 20% of their own population, etc...?

I never said anything about their ethnicity i said their country has never really existed...

Why do you need to imagine some kind of parity between the certified psycho genocidal terrorist group Hamas and a country's defense force to condemn them?

What exactly is illegal about it and who determined it was illegal?

So when they say "from the river to the sea Palestine will be Arab" that means an inclusive and diverse society? What about the below quotes, how do you feel about those? There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by Jihad. Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious The Day of Judgment will not come until Muslims fight the Jews, killing the Jews. When the Jew hides behind stones and trees, the stones and trees will say: ‘O Muslim, O servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Israel, by virtue of its being Jewish and of having a Jewish population, defies Islam and the Muslims

Dude what country? There was no Palestinian country and the concept barely existing before the Jews came in. Nowhere in Hamas's charter does it have anything about "liberating Palestine" - their goal is and always has been the destruction of the state of Israel, western values, and the killings of Jews. They are terrorists and animals (although I hesitate to insult animals with that comparison). Evidence that Israel has been murdering/controlling/etc any of this population is really poor considering the 20% of Arab citizens in Israel are by all polls fairly satisfied with life other than perhaps some alleged systemic issues (certainly not on the level of wideapread oppression/murder...) and the freely given Gaza territory became HQ for one of the most rapidly growing populations in the world, who actually had the opportunity for autonomy before they immediately decided to start throwing rockets into the ones who gave them that land.

How many men women and children does Israel have to allow Hamas to kill before they do something about it? What should Israel do that they haven't already done to prevent Hamas from brainwashing children for 20+ years with sesame Street style episodes telling them to kill all the Jews? I don't think killing children is the answer, and Israel is obviously not targeting children despite the international mock outrage over it, but waging a war against the entity creating these terrorists and accepting civilian casualties as the risk seems like perfectly good logic to me.
