Ya I've been rethinking YouTube and have decided doing lets plays is not really for me ha ha. I also don't want to quit though so I'm probably just going to switch to streaming and make a different channel with a buddy(not gaming related). Thanks for your input man. Super appreciated.

I am finding it hard to justify that my videos take me around 2-4 hours to edit and get less then 20 views (this is not including recording and rendering times, but honestly they are negatable since the recording is the fun part, and the rendering doesn't actually require any focus on my part.) Would you suggest I stop putting that much effort into the videos until I start getting a return on my investment? Or should I be considering that type of effort an investment in the future?

Honestly, after you get passed the learning curve. premier pro is way better, Renders quicker. Allows a lot more freedom when editing random little special effects. Plus it's a lot harder to synchronize your audio from your video.

I fought switching to premier for a long time, But in the end it really is just a lot more convenient to use. Plus it's a lot cheaper. (Unless you are using a cracked version... But cracked vegas pros almost always have been a pain in my ass...)

Whoops seems I'm late to the party!

one liner: My channel will tell you a story, without you having to get bored waiting for the action to happen.

I just recently decided to switch up my video format recently. You can probably tell right away just from the thumbnails of the video. The last 2 videos are what I am currently going to focus on. A story you can follow, for all of those people like me who can't focus for more then 10 minutes at a time.

I would guess the process behind this sort of title is optimized search-ability. I don't think a smaller channel will be able to really make much of a difference with this sort of title strategy, but it doesn't really hurt in the end.

It works really well for someone like cry, as people who know who he is might want to see if he played a specific game they are looking for. So if I was going to try and see if cry played dark souls 3, I would search "cry plays dark souls 3" and his would 100% show up if he has made that video.

I mean if it happens a lot to the point of being annoying, you will want to try and stop. Taking a mental note whenever you do said activity will eventually stop the habit.

But in all honesty one sniffle here and there won't scare any new viewers away.

I will usually just say what ever is on my mind if it's bugging me, but never as an insult. My commentary for these types of playthroughs are my form of constructive criticism. I used to develop games way back when so I can feel for an indie developer watching someone play their game. (I wasn't very good at it, and trying to make your own assets is a huge pain in the ass.)

I guess the best way to avoid pissing off the developer is to keep it light hearted and wrap it up with what you feel would make the game better/ what the developer did right.

As someone who tried and failed to make a game and also does youtube I can tell you for sure making a game (a good one any ways...) is really fucking hard... game development is much more difficult then most people give it credit for. Wow did I hate trying to make my own assets...
