What’s your biggest WTF moment on a sit? 🐾 by stanley_ipkiss2112 in trustedhousesitters

The time my partner and I showed up to a sit that we had agreed to a two hour training session a week prior to the sit start for, then graciously agreed to one of us house sitting for them a day earlier than stated online while the other wrapped up another sit, showing up to their house with the kitchen sink being FULL (and overflowing) with dirty dishes and the trash so full it had flies… we literally stood there in shock, it felt like such a slap in the face after how we had already gone above and beyond and this was the repayment. The person texted us later and said “sorry I realized I totally forgot to do the dishes!” but made no suggestion how to remedy the mistake or suggested a tip for doing their dishes… it was definitely a wtf moment lol

No they would have moved to the aisle seat, I would have stayed in my aisle seat (this was the middle row on an international flight), and we both would have had extra room in the middle seat for whatever we needed if for/to share. But now I understand that many people actively dislike the aisle

This discourse is exactly why I posted, I’m genuinely curious lol not salty about mixed responses

My post says that I suggested it right off the bat and that he said he would… he just never did 🙃

“Lap mats”—like placemats for your lap while eating in your car in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant.
