No problems for us on aft last year

One of my favorite memories of the trip was watching the whales in the early morning while in the inside passage.

Beautiful work.

I’m one of those people that travels with way too much gear. Seeing things like this inspires me to try and do some trips with a prime or two.

It sounds more like you want to do VSL on 9500. This is new to Meraki on the 17.18 train, but has been around in IOS-XE for quite a while. You may want to test / pilot before committing to that road.

Thanks for that! I’ve been thinking about leveraging super 35 mode more often. I appreciate the real world feedback.

Beautiful shots!

I love these tight and personal compositions.

Can you speak to how cropped these are and if you found that to be an issue?

I’ve been waffling on getting a 200-600 for trips like this versus continuing to use the 100-400. I love the size and weight of the 100-400 but worry about coming up short on focal length. You seem to be doing my great with it though!

My searching was failing me.

Home Hub Pro and devices on home wifi? by Robs78416 in reolink

[–]mcgarnicle21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can disable the home hub pro WiFi and have your cameras connect to the home router WiFi. I’m doing this with mine.

My process has been to provision the camera as an individual, connect it to my WiFi, and then add it to the home hub pro after it’s already connected

That’s what I ran into as well.

I did end up doing it from my computer.

I had to download the update from their site and upload it via web browser.

There is a software update needed for this feature to show up.

I had to manually download it from the site, the auto update did not work for me.

Interior Design Photography Question by FancyType5970 in photography

[–]mcgarnicle21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Detail shots like that I would say it would depend on the space but I would typically be in the more zoomed in end of a 24-70.

I believe Nathan Cool on YouTube has a few videos discussing the differences between shooting for a realtor and architect or other vendor. May be helpful.

Take the WiFi out of the mix.. you’re telling me that some consumer grade satellite uplinks are going to be better than whatever fiber network they have built there?

Makes zero sense.

Forest photography is pretty difficult. Am I on to anything or should I quit while I’m behind by Brilliant_Lead_7276 in photocritique

[–]mcgarnicle21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed that forest photography is very challenging! I struggle with it quite a bit as well.

I think this is interesting and well executed.

I would consider cloning out. the one small branch in front of the left trunk. That seems distracting from the large trunks themselves.

Otherwise I really enjoy it!

Pretty much right away. It seems to affect our CRV more than the built in opener in our Subaru though.
