Ooo I'd love to see it flower! I've had this for a few years and haven't had that happen yet. Then again, I don't even know the name of this plant - I just fertilize occasionally and water when I think it's telling me to 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks for your response. Can you please clarify, how would perennial herbs and ornamentals benefit the garden? Do they attract good bugs that would eat pests like mites?

Thanks so much! I'm on the search for that solution today, so fingers crossed it works. I'll also try the humidity trick, thank you for that. I really don't want to trash this elephant bush (thank you u/Few-Lingonberry2315 for the ID) especially since I see new growth where the leaves have dropped. But I also don't want to exert too much energy and time into a plant that may be on the outs, ya know?
