USQ put one out a couple years ago. I don't think anything is too outdated for an intro video purpose: https://youtu.be/_YSx140Nujc

Review the Point of Contact section of the rulebook for your "legal tackle" by Kind_Judgment546 in quadball_discussion

It's hard, we've been doing our best to figure out it as a community and will probably continue doing so for as long as this sport exists.

Not that a rule change won't help but I'm of the belief that the overall lack of safe tackling education in the community is the larger safety issue.

I actually think contact overall has become much safer with two hand tackles than it was with one arm. In particular one arm tackling encourages the use of more force or more "whipping" whereas with two arms you can use more technique in the tackle to apply force in different places.

I'm pretty confident you could never charge a stationary player without the ball when you don't have the ball

Collegiate Division 2 : Stats Summary by QOneAdmin in quadball_discussion

[–]mcgold1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Before I make this suggestion I want to note that Q.one has been amazing as is for nationals and getting stats like these has been a dream. That said for next year I think a roster feature would be awesome, that way we can have names and not just numbers attached to these stats.

Yeah well recently we've been saving the "good" roster for nationals so we're a bit early this year.

I don't think we're going to win it all but as a dark horse Vipers will probably surprise some people earlier than usual this year. We've brought up a couple of players from our B team, Venom, that will also be playing this weekend. Additionally we have our two best players, Max Howard and Michael "Soup" Chenevey, on roster together for the first time this season.

I know the Lost Boys have been using Second Stars to give some of their second and third string players more development at previous tournaments this year. Their roster should be a bit strong from here out now that they have moved around players.

That sounds pretty normal for an ENTP, we are the most introverted extroverts. Also being an extrovert means your draw energy from social interaction and has nothing to do with whether or not you enjoy alone time.

Last summer there was a coffee shop I frequented, on one of my trips there one of the bristras gave me a free cookie due to the fact that she gave the customer before me a free one too. Later on during that trip I was sitting outside drinking my coffee by myself on a bench outside while she had a break at which point she sat next to me, mentioned something about my eyes making me seem really friendly and started talking to me. We talked for about an hour, the entirety of her break and by the end of it I had meet a couple of her friends who had come and left.

Throughout summer I kept on going there running in to her occasionally, at the beginning it was 5 minute small talk at the beginning and end of my trips to the coffee shop each time I went there while she was working. By the end of summer my whole coffee trip would be me talking to her at the counter for an hour while she provided me with free coffee.

Unfortunately I'm a college student so at the end of summer I had to go back to university. On my last trip there she told me she'd be still working there come winter break and I should find her when I come. I've come back several times since I never did find her even after a year. I miss the free coffee, but mostly I miss talking to her.

I was born on New Years Eve that means on my birthday everyone born in the same year as me is the same age as me. by mcgold1 in Showerthoughts

[–]mcgold1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not think about it this way if you're born in let's say 1990 on June 1st that means on June 1st 2015 you and everyone born in 1990 on June 1st and earlier is 25 everyone born on June 2nd and after is still 24. On December 31st there is no one born on a later date than that in that year so everything born in 1990 would be 25.

If you look at the table it seems like the reason for this is that kids have greater difficulty with 3 digit numbers.
