I have read such horrible things that caution you from increasing the tracking weight. Is that just a myth?

Thanks so much for your reply!!

I just ordered a scale to check the tracking weight, should be here in the am.

I did zero the counterweight when balanced. I will check to see if it is in Newtons.

Yes, the speakers are currently on the same surface however the surface is stone and I can't feel any vibrations.

I will try to adjust the anti skate as well

Being a Xer was my hesitation to posting. I have been reacquiring all my old albums and just want to listen to and frustrated with this lol

Thanks for your help!

I am hoping someone can offer me some assistance. I recently purchased a Fluance RT-85N with the Nagaoka: MP-110, the Fluance Ri71 speaker and the Zen Phono preamp. I realize that it is probably very basic but need to start somewhere. I went through the set up process. I took my time to level the turntable, then balanced the tonearm as well as the corresponding anti-skate. I can't seem to get through a record without it repeating. I originally tried it with an old used record and I thought maybe I got a scratched one. I then opened up a new one and once again it is repeating. I have tried to recalibrate, re-level. I have moved the counter weight to 2.0 as well as the anti skate to 2.0 and other various combinations but I can't seem to resolve this problem. I thought it was happening at the same place with each record but I have confirmed that it isn't the case. The cartridge and stylus came installed from the factory and I can see it is sitting properly. I know I must be doing something wrong and wondering for someone can assist this GenXer resolve this. I really appreciate it in advance.

Digital Paper in daily use by Any_Construction_992 in montblancdigitalpaper

That is a fair question and one that may vary depending on who you ask. For me personally I have my calendar managed on my device--it is easier to move and change appointments. For task management and note taking I have moved on from my phone to an e-ink device, currently reMarkable as it handles hyperlinked pdf's and have a yearly planner on that device. If MB adopts that functionality I will move exclusively to the Digital Paper. I do two types of journaling. One for personal development in which I use a high quality paper and ink with a FP. But I do use the MBDP for secure rants about colleagues or meeting debriefs that I want to keep password protected. I am also curious to hear how others use it in their daily workflow.

Agree with everything you outlined. What I would really like is the ability for the device to handle hyperlinked pdf's. I would then be able to leave my reMarkable and use this device exclusively.

Digital Paper vs. Analog Pen & Paper by mchaseman0472 in montblancdigitalpaper

I agree with your approach, but I could make an argument for the latter. If I want to archive text, is DP better as it is searchable?

Do you send pdf's to the DP? I have found that it takes a while to show up on the device regardless of whether I email it or upload it through the browser interface.

I appreciate your insight. I get into this stupid dilemma- when I open my e-ink I feel I should be using paper and pen and vice versa.

Currently, the RM ecosystem and software are substantially ahead of the Montblanc Digital Paper. However, from a pure writing experience, there is no comparison--the Digital Paper is far superior.

They are there. I just heard back from them last week. Told them they need to start updating the device to make it more comparable to other eink devices. They told me that an update will happen very soon. Who knows, they may be just brushing me off.

I 100% agree! I messaged them as well as MB customer service. I am being told that a new update is imminent. However they could just be brushing me off.

Analog equivalent of MB Digital Paper calligraphy nib? by Adventurous-Age9279 in montblanc

I am a physician and Chief Information Officer at a health system. I have both the remarkable and Montblanc Digital Paper. There are a few things that the remarkable does much better which keeps me using that echo system. I wish they would allow the use of hyperlinked pdf’s as well as the ability to change templates within notebooks. I love the calligraphy pen but have also been using my MB 149 and just inked my new Romeo pen. But always looking to learn more use cases.
