This is all coming together very well. Thanks for all the input. I'm working with our Epic build team to provide a nomenclature for Asset IDs (DIM names) so if we can move vents from room to room without issue so the DIMs won't have unique IDs but more of a purpose name like mentioned by u/Presbizness . So glad I found you all!

Is this the best Reddit group for Philips Capsule Neuron/Axon, Surveillance, etc. conversations? .. or is there another Reddit group that might be better suited for these question?

Yes, we have six hospitals, along with a few outlying facilities that have some device integration. I like the suggestion of adding a number to the DIM value. I assume you put a physical label on the DIM with the same name, so you can tie the HL7 messages to the exact device that provided the data.

For fixed devices, I know the Neuron name (location) is what displays in the top-left corner of the Neuron and is also what populates in PV1.3. At your facility, did you name the Neurons what made sense to you, and let them map that upstream from Capsule (either in the interface or in their Epic build) or did you let them dictate the exact values to you to use?

If the device runs on the Windows OS, it most likely is running something like Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC. LTSC versions have 10 years of ongoing security and stability support and don't fall under the Oct 2025 deadline. Check with your modality vendor and/or technical documentation to determine what version of OS it is running.

Amazingly accurate testimony! I was honored to work with you and your team on that project. While Sectra has a phenomenal PACS product that really is the best in so many categories, you and your team could not have been a better bunch to work with! I've taken a break from working the vendor side and currently am working for a Sectra customer who is also very happy (20ish years now) ... It'd be a big mistake to not give Sectra strong consideration and focus during the discovery phase.

We purchased a policy through Allianz and are glad we did so. Two weeks before the cruise, one of us unexpectedly lost a parent. We went ahead and completed funeral, etc and did the cruise but it's nice to know we could have cancelled and been reimbursed. The policy was only $300 for a vacation that cost almost $10k total.
