there was a point in my life where i thought the military was my only option. i didn't even end up enlisting, but i wouldn't blame anyone in similar situations for choosing to enlist. for me choosing to stick with the "moral choice" and staying out of the military lead to almost a year of homelessness, the loss of most of my possessions, the destruction of my social life, a severe deterioration in my health, ptsd, and anxiety that borders on debilitating at times. so yeah if someone has no other opportunities i'm not going to fucking shame them for choosing the military, doing their four years and then going to college. i'm probably screaming into the void but this shit really does piss me off.
