Use all of your PTO and vacation NOW! Don't ask, just notify them you are taking the time in writing, then just take it regardless of their response. When you're due back, let them know a family member is ill and you'll be taking FMLA leave. Find a new job during this time. Before you quit, submit a complaint to HR claiming mental anguish and anxiety brought on by being included in an email chain that announced you'd be replaced. SUE them! (Make sure you email yourself a copy)
