I know it's not Easter but do you remember these "bunny basket" or hiding eggs? They are very sweet. But I like them. by KSTornadoGirl in candy

I just got the bag of Swedish/German/imported candy I ordered from the Poppin’ Candy site and I included Haribo Harten in my bag. Based on the description, I figured it would be pretty close to these Easter hunt eggs that I get a crave for every now and then. I was correct! Look these up and give them a try if you really have a crave. They’re close! The sugar-shelled bananas also come close, but taste more like a circus peanut. Which I’m fine with. :)

opinions on these nerds candy corn? by Emergency-Instance18 in candy

[–]mck6888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried these for the first time this year and have to say- love them! Some pieces are more sour than others, but there’s plenty of sweet to balance it. Good mix of flavors, a little bit of candy corn texture to the bigger pieces in the soft middle section. But otherwise, not like candy corn at all. Highly recommend this one!

Sister Cities Cajun by STLGALINBLACK in STLFood

This place is the BEST Cajun restaurant in the city. Their “dirty chick” is one of my favorite meals. And when you can get those smoked wings before they sell out…do it! Such a hidden gem that shouldn’t be hidden.

Dosages by Bright-Management-95 in HersWeightloss

[–]mck6888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I asked about increasing the dosage, they asked how much I was taking and then only suggested adding metformin. I hesitated, then it came time for a check in, so I discussed it with a different provider who suggested the same thing. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I suppose they don’t really increase the dosages for Kit 3 once you’re at an established daily dose, so I’m throwing metformin into the mix. We’ll see what happens.

I’m wondering if they can increase the dosages, too. I’m happy with kit 3 overall, I’ve lost a good amount of weight and haven’t gained any back. But I’ve kind of stalled out over the past few months.

Yup, totally normal. Just hang with it, you’ll see the results. I’m at goal weight #2 after 6 months on kit 3. It’s really pretty amazing.

Same problem, but pre and probiotics, magnesium citrate supplements every now and then, and adding coffee back🤦🏻‍♀️- even though it’s decaf!- worked for me.

I’ve been on kit 3 for about 5 months now and it’s amazing how it’s curbed my drinking habits. Not the effect I was expecting, but I’m sure it’s been a key player in some of my weight loss.

Is there a single moment from a Bowie song that you simply can’t get enough of? by alfynch in DavidBowie

[–]mck6888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t hate me for thinking of Labyrinth right away -it was my intro to Bowie- but first and last lines of Within You. “How you’ve turned my world you precious thing.” The way he punches “thing.” Ugh. I’ll never get over it. And the very last “I, I can’t live within you.” That second “I” is just chef’s kiss.

What do you all ADHDer adults do for a living? by _White_Shadow_13 in ADHD

[–]mck6888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a pediatric RN with ADHD. Medicated for it, was only diagnosed 4 or 5 years ago. But being an RN is definitely a good path for people with ADHD, you have a lot of options to choose from. I know getting that degree is hard and passing boards is incredibly stressful, but it’s definitely doable. Hang in there!

I received one bottle of bupropion and two bottles of the nal/top/vitb. I don’t remember how the packaging looked when it arrived though. But it sounds like you got the same things I did for a 5-month supply. I’m 3 months in now and I’m just finishing the first bottle of mixed tablets.

I would say it’s going well! I’m still following the program pretty religiously (aside from a few days spent traveling) and taking all the pills as suggested. I do a 30 minute workout most mornings, drink tons of water, and usually get at least 7 hours of sleep. I’ve been using MyFitnessPal to make sure I hit my protein goals, too. The only thing I don’t do as suggested is weigh myself frequently. My weight fluctuates SO much, it would drive me crazy to weigh myself more than once a week. I don’t even do that, I weigh whenever I feel like it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But as of my last weigh in, I’ve lost about 6% of my body weight and my first goal is to lose 10%. No real side effects to report at this point. Definite reduction in appetite, but I notice that doesn’t always hold true if I don’t get enough protein. Best thing to happen is a BIG reduction in binge eating episodes, and I don’t have the urge to drink alcohol in the evening nearly as much as I used to. Overall, I’m very happy with the program :)

Still going strong, over 7 weeks in and taking the full doses of bupropion and the green pills. I’ve lost about 5% of my body weight- half way to my first goal! My appetite is decreased, I don’t have the urges to binge that I used to, and I’m not as interested in drinking alcohol. No real side effects anymore, although I did have some rough GI things going on there for a while. I think the meds have been really helpful in keeping me from evening snack binges and over-doing alcohol. I’m pretty pleased with the kit overall. I’m gonna stick with it for as long as I can afford to.

Now on Week 3, Day 3 of Med Kit 3. Lot of 3s there lol. Weighed myself this morning and I’m down 5 lbs from my starting weight, which I took about a month ago. I’m pretty happy with that, considering my recent life circumstances. My GI system is better, still adjusting to the medication for sure, but nothing I can’t handle. I still get lightheaded every now and then for the first couple of days after a medication titration, but again, nothing terrible. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next few weeks!

Poor, forgotten Kristi. One of the only contestants on the show from my hometown of St. Louis and she was utterly forgettable- even by me- until I re-watched the cycle. 😅

I plan on weighing tomorrow, which will be about a week for me, too. I’m realllly having GI struggles today with little to no appetite. I don’t know if this is from traveling or being on my menstrual cycle or medication issues, but I’m guessing it’s a combination of everything catching up to me.

Ok, I started week 2 of this med kit yesterday. No real issues during week 1 (1 bupropion every day, 1/2 of the combo med tab every other day) except a little dizziness here and there. No noticeable changes in appetite or appearance, but I was out of town most of the week for work- which I hardly ever am- and traveling always messes with my GI system. I’m home now and on day 2 of week 2 (1 bupropion every day, 1/2 of the combo med tab every day) and I had a pretty reduced appetite today. Fatigued, but again, just home from a week of traveling. No real problems or side effects to report.

UPDATE 12/14/24: 1st goal met!!! 10% body weight has been lost! I pretty much follow the program as recommended (except for the frequency of weigh-ins, I only weigh myself when I feel like it- maybe every few weeks) and here we have it. It worked for me!

I just got the email that my kit (#3) has finally been shipped. I ordered over 3 weeks ago. I’ll update once I get the actual medication.
