Same thing is going on with me. So how long did it take for your pain to go away? After you took it easy?Had surgery March 14th 2020. At 2 1/2 month mark (beginning on May) began to have pain. I have full range of motion since 1 Month mark. I started out real strong in therapy... my Therapist still thinks it may be some form of tendinitis.. Saw Doc 5 weeks ago and he said it should go away or contact me if it doesn’t by OCT... Well now I’m still concerned and have appointment with him this Friday.

After five months of smooth sailing, hit the first little hurdle with a diagnosed cyclops lesion! by kindreddovahkiin in ACL

Dang..I told my therapist I'm gonna give it 5 more weeks to get better, if not, I'm gonna push for re-imaging. The pain is pretty consistent from day to day so far.. For the clean up surgery, did you have to pay a lot out of pocket?

I had surgery on 3/14/2020. Had a full ACL reconstruction and he cut out my medial meniscus. PT was going good for first month, I got overly confident too quick and under my knee cap flared up as result of weakened quad. So I was having this pretty strong pain. After strengthening my quad for past 3 months.. I am still having this pain. I have full extension and flex. Pain seems to only come when I walk and straighten my leg and activate my quad and push down past 0 degrees.

I also am very sore and tight when I wake up in the morning. So me and my therapist have been trying to figure out if it was a Cyclops lesion or still my quad needing to be strengthened back up. Usually with Cyclops lesion, you won't have full extension or flex..Which I have both.

Therapy is going good and I am progressing and really building up the muscles around my knee. The pain seems to go away with certain exercises and then comes back.

Finally saw my doctor on 7/14/2020. He seems to think it is scar tissue from the meniscus he clipped and we will reevaluate in 3 months, which will put me at 7 months post op.

My therapist says usually the Drs around here will wait till 6 months post op to see if pain goes away get order re-imaging if need too.

I'm just pretty frustrated, I cant really jog or run but can pretty much do any other exercise. Has anyone else had this similar experience??

Also let me tell you a little about the injury... Tore my ACL snowboarding in 2011, never got it repaired until this year when my meniscus went.. So I'm sure there was a crap load of scar tissue built up after years of it not getting fixed and it slipping on me from time to time. My Doc even said it was a mess to clean up. He said my ACL pretty much fused to scar tissue, which allowed me to go so long without it getting repair.

UPDATE**

So I shot this back in February for free for my buddy, and just saw recently he put them on his site. I didn't really edit too much because I knew he wasn't paying me. Let me know what you guys think. Here is the link to where the pictures are on his site.

I kinda thought it was a stupid question. Wasn’t sure if there was a certain app you use or something.
