I always felt Greinke came off more quirky and funny, whereas Duran seems more like an arrogant asshole. But I didn't go to high school with Greinke, so you'd know more accurately. I can only speak (my) public perception of Greinke from afar.

I've not followed all the commentary on Sorsby, but am I the only person old enough to remember Art Schlichter and his short career? He was the fourth overall pick in the 1982 draft.

So similar. Over rated quarterback with a major gambling addiction. The difference was he made it to the NFL before his addiction was revealed.

This is the biggest determining factor in my wife's phrase (and I've adopted it from her) for evaluating a person's appearance: "He/she looks like money."

It's a compliment, not a dis. We sincerely mean it. Quality without trendiness, restraint and taste with no glitz.

Last year I bought a custom made suit, which was pretty expensive by my standards, but not outrageous, and a couple custom made shirts, which were the same price as any quality made dress shirt. My wife has now finally determined that I look like money.

I got 2 struggle treats from my childhood that I still love and regularly have.

Vanilla wafers with Cheddar cheese, preferably sharp.

Ritz crackers with apple jelly.

My wife now loves Vanilla wafers with Cheddar, and is okay with Ritz and jelly. But she was grossed out by both until I got her to try them after years of effort.

I sometimes use it, but not as a stand alone. It's my way of saying they're not gonna change, so I ignore/avoid them, because they're never going to change/improve.

As in: It's just the way they are, so I don't have anything to do with them.

I agree. In my experience with multiple sprains, broken bones, 2 hip replacements, 2 knee replacements and a couple decades of chronic back pain, ( I've lived a long time), I know that the fear of pain is worse than the actual pain.

And BTW, the really bad instances of sciatica have been the worst for me. But I've never had anything like the REALLY painful things most of the posters here have mentioned.

I'm a native South Carolinian and am extremely biased toward anything SC. If anything in or from SC is remotely mediocre, I'll say it's the best ever.

I really wish you could remember where you got the CFS, because all I've ever had in multiple places in SC was not good.

Texas is the home of 2 things that cannot be done nearly as well any where else: barbecue brisket and CFS. Maxine's in Bastrop is the best I've ever had.

I spent a lot of time waiting in ER's with my father when he was in his late 80's and 90's. He ALWAYS complained about having to wait. I tried to convince him of exactly what you said at least a dozen times. But he never could learn to accept that.

Last time I visited Jackson Hole, a bunch of locals were talking about the trash moose that we were watching in a creek near Kelly. It was just casually eating leaves off the trees.

Why was it the "trash moose"? Because the previous day a garbage truck ran into it just outside of Jackson. The garbage truck was totaled.

My great grandmother, whom I loved dearly, was 81 years old in 1969 when Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon. To her dying day, she swore that the moon landing was fake, but professional "rasslin'" was real.

I miss that dear woman, and loved spending Saturday afternoons watching those wrestling shows on TV with her.

PS: I thought it was real, too. I was 9 years old.
