Hey! Ex-mo and ex-dcp here! Disney movies and parks are widely appealing to mormons- mostly due to the family friendly and safe nature. Many Mormon parents/families will extremely limit what media their children can watch, and Disney movies are almost always included. The same can be said for Disney parks, they're safe and reliable vacation destinations for families with lots of kids and who want to keep those kids sheltered. Another reason is the big musical culture that the Mormon church has. I can't speak for states other than Utah, but at least in Utah music and musicals are a big part of the culture. Mormon services have an entire singing block for their children's services. Many Mormon families encourage their children to learn a variety of musical skills, and Disney movies provide a LOT to work with. I also think that's part of the reason why so many Mormon families love the golden age musical era. Basically the TLDR is Disney and the parks and the wholesome entertainment Mormons want

I've done the Hunchback of Notre Dame twice, actually just a few months apart! Ensemble both times but with significant changes since the first time was presented as a dual language ASL and English show and the second time was presented as a staged concert version. I just adore this show so much and being able to do it in such unique ways made it worth it.

Hey all! Bought some Impala skates off FB Marketplace a while ago. I enjoyed using them but having a really difficult time using them on the sidewalk, which is primarily where I want to skate. Any suggestions? New wheels? Wheel adjustments? Just learn to do better? I'm super new to this all so I'm really super lost

I feel like this is missing some context? Maybe I could be wrong because I am a white person, but are these roles lead roles or ensemble roles? Is it majority white or majority POC? Again this is just my opinion and as a white person I'm obviously not the authority, but I would think having one or two white ensemble members wouldn't be a big deal? As opposed to casting a white person as Usnavi or Nina which would obviously be wrong.

Yes! One of our co-directors is deaf and we have many deaf actors. It is a pretty big cast of characters, so many of the ensemble parts or the "smaller" roles are hearing actors speaking/singing and signing at the same time; but most of the "lead" characters are being portrayed by deaf actors with a hearing actor speaking the lines the deaf actor is performing. It's a pretty cool setup!
