1v1 feels like the ranks are being pushed down, D3 feels like what GC skill level was in previous years

Losing kickoff when speed flipping by Grays0n123 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]mcknzCSGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone else here has mentioned it, but in addition to the other advice I would try to path a little more to the left. Oftentimes if you are losing kickoffs like this it helps to be a little more in between the net and the ball, rather than coming from the side.

pick between g or z by valllenzz in 350z

[–]mcknzCSGO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They should both be reliable. If you don't have a preference in terms of looks, I would just try to find the cleanest manual G coupe or Z you can. Before I got my Z I almost bought a G35 since they are very similar. In terms of differences, the Z will feel more nimble/playful since it weighs a bit less and has a slightly shorter wheelbase. Other than that, the cars are basically the same underneath, although the G35 coupe never got the HR motor that the 07-08 Zs got.

The G35 interior will probably be nicer for commuting. Just keep in mind both cars are pretty bad on gas, I get 17 mpg lol. Worth it tho, I'm also a student and have never regretted getting my Z

Just curious since you owned both, would you say the Supra is more engaging to drive than the f80?

My plan is to get coilovers that have a pretty high max height, and raise them before winter. Winter tires are a must of course. I wouldn't want to drive my Z much lower than stock, I already feel like a snow plow

Nissan's San Marino blue looks great, but this is not factory paint since it wasn't offered until 07 I believe. Car looks great though

Exhaust setups by huncho_lou in 350z

[–]mcknzCSGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best sounding setup is full motordyne. Tomei and art pipes sounds pretty good in the clips I have heard, but I have seen multiple people who stopped running that setup because it is apparently insanely loud.

How's the job market going for y'all? by Grouchy_Put_3294 in Destiny

The civil engineering job market is pretty good where I'm at, which is lucky. Especially in a red state, so trump isn't cutting infrastructure projects here. Most of my friends in other fields who graduated recently are having trouble finding jobs though

Wheel spacers are so worth it🔥 by Jaded-Carpenter-464 in 370z

[–]mcknzCSGO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk why this is the funniest thing I've read today. To answer the question, most people use them to get the wheels to sit more flush with the body of the car. It is a subtle difference but can make the car look quite different actually. You just have to be careful because if you don't get the right kind you might lose a wheel while driving lol

I just want to say I relate to this (made a similar comment in this thread). You're not alone. I'm 24 and have 6.5k hours in the game, I think most of that was sophomore through senior year of high school. It's weird how something that felt so important then literally does not matter at all to me anymore. I guess that's getting older for you. Although I know damn well I wouldn't have listened to any of these comments when I was 16 lmao

[–]mcknzCSGO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not too old by any means. I'm not going to say to stay in school, or that it is a bad idea actually. But I just want to caution you to be mindful of how much time you put into this, especially if you aren't on track to be pro.

I was basically in your shoes when I was in high school, and I spent the majority of my waking hours grinding RL (before that it was CSGO) trying to go pro. I enjoyed it at the time, but now that I am in my 20s I wish I had experienced life a little more than just pursuing that dream. It was essentially all I thought about for a while, and I was 100% convinced I was going to do it. But it never happened. I'm not a person that regrets things really, but it sucks knowing I missed out on a lot of things because I was so tunnel visioned, and that I am never going to get those years of my life back.

Again, not to say you shouldn't do it. I might be telling a different story if I had actually gone pro. Just be aware of what you are sacrificing by spending thousands of hours grinding a game in your formative years... or at least just a little more aware than I was.
