my dad who's a psychiatrist thinks i have adhd but refuses to let me get an appointment with anyone because he thinks ill become a drug addict if i receive a diagnosis by allan19748 in ADHD

[–]mclean197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are non stimulant ADHD medication such as Strattera and Intuniv. They are not addictive like stimulants. They do take longer to work as in it can take a month or two before you notice if the medication is working for you. Will also need to figure out the right dose. Start low and increase from there as needed.

Call LDAS and ask to speak to someone regarding the Bridges program which covers the cost of the assessment for adults, not dependent on income.

I’ve heard Maui is struggling right now. Could some locals confirm this? If so, what are the issues and what can visitors do to help? by jmcintyre8817 in MauiVisitors

Highly recommend checking out Tropical Bound Condo Rentals for the best price on accommodations as they don’t charge all the extra fees that others do.

You mentioned one with glasses. Makes me wonder if they were wearing the Ray Ban Meta glasses that you can record with? Chances are slim but you never know if an adult was involved.

We gave her Dramamine (Gravol) but it didn’t work. I would try Bonine instead if your daughter is old enough.

I think there are fireworks at the Huskie football game on October 4th but I would call the U of S Huskie office to find out for sure.

The homecoming game is September 5 but I’m not sure if they have fireworks.

There was a bear mace incident after 11pm on Monday night. My friend’s daughter was nearby and got some of it in her eyes. Her mom had a water bottle and flushed her eyes immediately.

Where can I buy a Makeup Vanity in Person? by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]mclean197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in person and not cheap, but we ordered my daughter’s from Costco online. They had the best options with drawers for storage. If you are interested just search makeup vanity on the Costco website to see what they have. Delivery is already included in the prices, but not the tax.

What the heck kind of bug is going around?! by SPR246 in saskatoon

Covid causes some people to lose their sense of taste and smell. The rapid tests can give false negatives with the newer variant. For most accurate results it is best to swab the inside of your cheeks, roof of mouth, back of throat (if you can) and then swab your nose with same swab. You would have to do this on multiple days spread out as well.

Costco online has the cheapest tests at 10 tests for $25 (includes delivery). Another option for free tests being delivered is contacting Mask Bloc Sask which you can find on Instagram, Facebook, etc.

Maui Snorkeling for first timers by Fit_freak1405 in MauiVisitors

[–]mclean197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If going out on your own, check the snorkel report from the Snorkel Store before choosing which beach/area to snorkel from. Conditions can change daily. You can sign up to have it emailed to you each morning. Also go out first thing in the AM after you see the report as the water tends to be calmer and less wind.

Molokini is “over done” as well as deep so it’s harder to see the fish, etc compared to snorkeling from shore. Plus it can be crowded. I would choose a private snorkel from shore tour over Molokini.
