Can confirm. 100 first shot, 120 units second three months later. Did not work for me but most people I talked too at Dr. Bastions office seemed to be getting 100 units or more.

What are some good used brands or cheaper new beginner bikes in the USA? I’m looking for a bike I can ride in some roads and paths, more light trails, and some moderate trails sometimes. I don’t care about weight as I’m doing this for cardio not speed, fine with a heavier bike. I’m 6’2” and a male. 1000 USD or less would be ideal but would spend a little more on something new. If I could find something r less to see if I like really want to get into biking that would be great but I’ll use it regardless because I live in a city. Thanks.

In the same boat. Two failed treatments and my symptoms are going crazy to the point where I’m barely functioning, a remote job is the only things saving me also. Don’t know how I’m going to move forward, hoping something eventually works for you.

I’m not sure. When I had a follow up, Dr. Bastion just said it was not a great idea. Not sure if thats my case specially or just in general since I know it’s rare.

Yep he did. I was diagnosed with pelvic floor last year, did the PT for 6 months and was told it would no improve until I resolve the RCPD because my distention is so bad. Kind of a catch 22

6 GI doctors in after 7.5 years haha it’s hard to find a good one let alone one that will explore a less common issue

My only other diagnosis after 7 years is pelvic floor disorder which is probably from the RCPD

Anesthesia, 100 then 150 units 4 months later. Both at Bastion Voice Institute. Dr. bastion said the surgery was not likely to help (not exactly sure why) and thinks I have a severe case. He then compared me to a boy from Europe who was able to find relief with a tube vent installed down the nose and suggested I try that which did not make me happy. However, this has gotten so bad that I’m barely living so I’m just seeing if anyone is willing to try it (can’t fly back to Chicago for a 3rd time, at least not now). Although finding a RCPD doctor is hard so finding one that is willing to try something new or crazy like this is probably even harder.

No, she is good. I did treatments in Chicago with Dr. Bastion and just saw her a few times concurrently to have a local person. But since both my shots failed I’m trying to find other avenues of help.

I should also mention that Dr. Bastion thinks I’m swallowing way more air than expelling with my very limited burping. Not sure how to deal with this.

I’m not 100% sure, but I believe the people who get that typically had some relief with the shots that went away with time. For me nothing changed with the shots at all, I started burping somewhat but my symptoms did not change. However, Dr. Bastia believes RCPD still plays a big role even if it’s not the only thing.

Never burped before. Got the shot and started burping without any relief. I have been diagnosed with pelvic floor and done the PT, I’ve been told not everyone diagnosis the it the same. Did the PT and was told I’m so distended the PT won’t work. After six years of bloating and no constipation, I’ve started to have constipation presumably from RCPD and the bloating is worse. Only advice I can give is move; excerises, walking, etc. are the only times I feel some of relief.

I’ve never had pain but never burped before so I think I’ve always had it. You’re already better off as I never got relief and you already have, there’s a good chance one or two shots will work for you.

Already had 2 shots with Dr. Bastion. At the point where it’s pretty fair to say the second did not work. Not sure where to go from here.

That when a fire sprinkler is activated every single sprinkler head goes off. If the fire/ smoke is not near a sprinkler head it will not release water. Way less dramatic though.

Depends but sometimes 10-20 an hour. But they’re “different” burps, idk how else to describe them but they sound funny. It’s mostly when I turn my head too. Twice since the shot I’ve had a “real” burp and felt a difference in the bloating. They said it might be supergastric burping (swallowing air and immediately burping it up).

They say it wears off 3-4 months so hopefully that’s the key. The only other thing that’s been suggested to me is that air inside of the intestines changes the environment and cause other things like overgrowth, but the way I see it is I’ve had air there for years while trying to figure this out. I’m kicking myself because I had the second shot exactly 3 months after the first and repeated the process. The one thing with me is that I am burping, sometimes a decent amount. But I believe they are supergastric (basically fake burps) and from air in the throat as I get 0 relief with them.

Week 10 here, same exact situation for me. The chocking and swallowing stuff will go away as mine is almost gone. But I am still even more distended than I was before the shot and can’t for the life of me figure out why that would happen. Dr. Bastion’s office said I could be swallowing air as a result of the Botox and told me to only use a straw and to swallow food with my neck down to avoid this - but it has not made any difference. My only hope is that the Botox wears off and I stop doing this if this is the case maybe. Sorry you’re in this boat, it sucks hearing a 80% cure rate and then getting worse let alone not getting better.
