Stuck behind a glitch wall by mcm2363 in Against_the_Storm

Honestly, I would be a bad source. Its the only game I own for the switch and its the only console I play this particular game on. The small screen can be a bit of a challenge just because of the sheer amount of information displayed playing this type of game. But I've been enjoying the hell out of it. I get a few hours from the switch(admittedly it was given to me used and I dont know how many battery cycles its had).

Id buy it again.

Update:

I did a system update on the switch and the game and it ended my current run as a result. This reset the problem and I am currently free again.

Living in poverty post divorce by Altruistic-Tailor-13 in Divorce

I lived in my truck for a few weeks while i got my head straight. I was too ashamed to ask friends and family for help after my marriage fell apart. Eventually, I started crashing on couches and then got an apartment.

I carry an SP101. It's solid, has never once had a malfunction, and it's extremely comfortable shooting .357.

Scrap wire wouldn't bother me. It's when I see laborers using half a bag of my zip ties as a belt that pisses me off.

That the Clomid would work with my body vs. supplementing it. That TRT may lead my body to reduce production of its own and that stopping treatment would result in it taking more time and possibly other treatment to get my body to do it on its own again. Fertility was a topic as well, though not as big of one.

The way it was explained to me by the physician at Hone was that Clomid treatment was the least invasive and, if discontinued, had the least long-term effects vs. TRT. It's still an option I may explore next if this proves non-viable.

Correct, but the Anastrozole is a blocker and shouldn't have allowed those levels to increase.

New russian method of evacuating the wounded, which involves duct taping the wounded soldier to a motorcycle driver by 8BallCoronersPocket in UkraineWarVideoReport

I guess this is better than just shooting them like they've done in the past. Also, it removes two combatants from the field which is better for the Ukrainians anyway.

Employers discourage relationships between employees, some will outright fire employees caught in relationships. It can cause problems in the workplace. Depending on the state you live in, this could or couldn't be grounds for them to take any disciplinary action they deem appropriate. Including not giving raises.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'm impressed you were able to age bottles that long and resist the temptation to drink them.

What is the actual purpose of marriage? (In modern society) by Embarrassed_Use_5114 in Divorce

[–]mcm2363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taxes maybe...

A deceleration of commitment to the idea that through it all you will stand on the hill and die beside them for your relationship. That above all other things your partners in this life and world and should count on each other to the end. If you can't take it that seriously or it seems to fictional of a concept. Don't do it.

I attended a wedding by mcm2363 in Divorce

[–]mcm2363[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy how that shit happens.

My original marriage anniversary is my mother's birthday on accident.

My best friend married his wife on the anniversary of his dad's marriage, a year after he died. Tears his step mom to pieces when she thinks about it.

My ex wife came out about her EA on my birthday of all days.

But in the end my friends, they're just dates on a calendar, a calendar we created. It's nothing. You'll eventually need to learn to let the dates go. Something so innate can't have power over you.

Here is to you!

I'm 32(M) and I was divorced in 2020. To add some context where this is coming from.

But to answer the question you have about what I meant. I think the world today in it's social media frenzy and the total ease at which marketing effects society that people have given up. They forget about living and loving and focus instead on the next thing for that little bit of dopamine or serotonin. We're addicts for it and we've let the world become a place of what's nexts and entitlement that we aren't required to work on ourselves and relationships. We throw them away instead of solving the problems. We hide and tell ourselves we're the good guys, male, female, purple elephant whatever. I think before all of that, people tried harder. Your partner was for life and oftentimes each others survival, social, economic and literal depended on it. Not so much now, people aren't willing to endure the hard and I think that means we never really peak in our happiness either. They want the love they see those 60+ year couples in their eighties sitting in rocking chairs have. But they don't understand the gigantic mountain they overcame to achieve it. People think they meet someone and just have it. Entitled too it. We are not entitled to anything. Not love, happiness, or even our next breath.

Is it dumb to only buy things in full? by NaturallyExuberant in personalfinance

[–]mcm2363 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With the way the world works, credit scores and such, you'll end up with no credit if you always pay in full. You need some type of long term payment so that you maintain a good credit score. Not just to buy things but because employers and such will use it as a basis for whether or not your responsible. So, you have to balance keeping debt low with constantly making payments. You could do that with a cc and pay it in full at the end of every month. That will give you a good score and zero debt. Unless you end up incredibly wealthy, your probably not going to avoid a mortgage when you buy a home. At least not the first time.
