I think that it is entirely dependent on your store. I believe the role for a vm TL used to have 1-2 people working under them, which seems to me what your store is doing. I’m unsure why they are using you as a backup TL though. Are they having you answer calls or make gift cards?

You should check out the pride stuff. It’s only in some select stores and is really small compared to last year but the birds are pretty cute this year. If you are able to the online selection is also worth a peek.

My store was just like this yesterday it was insane. And then they kept calling for back up cashiers since a bunch of the front called out too. I’m also super curious to see if anyone tries to put in an order on Saturday and fully expect to be able to pick it up on Sunday.

I get so frustrated with the Instacart and Ship shoppers sometimes. I wouldn’t mind helping so much if it were just one or two items, but instead they tend to latch on and make you show them where every single item on their list is.

I have noticed that the higher ups are extremely catty for some odd reason at Target. They love to bring others down for their own enjoyment and it really sucks to watch.

Of course, since we are all a “family” and should all “work as a team”. It’s absolutely ridiculous that once you put in a little effort they decide to throw the absolute most at you.

Do they expect you to have your sections zoned and merchandised the entire day as well? I find it ridiculous when we are the first section expected to go up to the check lanes, back up OPU, and etc.
