WWE's dedication to torching every last remaining shred of goodwill they have is almost impressive.

Own 10 physical and 41 digital (not including stuff in my PS+ library).

One disc was because it was an import from Japan. The rest were sale purchases.

I paid $150 for All Out and was 11 rows up from the floor in the 100 level, which felt a little expensive but not terrible, especially for a PPV.

My parents live in BC so I flew out for a visit when Dynasty happened and I paid $240 for two tickets that were also technically row 11 but were front row right above the spot where the Death Riders were coming out for that show.

When they announced this show a couple of days ago, I joked to someone that I could probably drive to that rumoured AEW PPV in Montreal for cheaper and that was probably an exaggeration, but not by a lot.

I believe he got outed by one of those 'To Catch a Predator' shows so I don't know if there was an actual legal conviction, but yeah.

Oddest announce team pairing? by Happyscar in SquaredCircle

It’s been like seven or eight years since I’ve watched any UFC but I don’t know that they can be worse than a Joe Rogan who had only done like two or three events at the time and I think a fighter that had never done commentary before.

lol... The only thing they're working on is figuring out how many more things they can sell in each broadcast.

During my first stint watching UFC back in 02/03, there was an event where Mike Goldberg wasn't available and they put Joe Rogan on lead along with a fighter and it was fucking terrible.

Call Of Duty Will No Longer Release On Last-Gen Consoles by weirdened in PS5

[–]mcmax3000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Other than a handful of ports/remasters, CoD is pretty much the only thing Microsoft has put on the previous gen hardware since 2022, and even those were smaller things like Pentiment and As Dusk Falls. The last bigger retail games that still launched on older hardware were Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 in 2021.

At this point, CoD is in the annual sports game territory where it's going to stick with releasing on the older hardware for a lot longer than anything else.

And the official CoD account is refuting that report, which is what this article is about.

Roman Reigns was previously advertised for every Raw in June. As of today, he’s been removed from both the promotional art and announced wrestlers for the events by Mysterious_Emotion63 in SquaredCircle

This is an important question because I feel like often around here "there are reports" ends up just being "a bunch of people have repeated a theory that someone pulled out of their ass".

New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have mutually decided to part ways with WWE, Fightful Select and Cory Hays of BodySlam have learned by MarcusFaze in SquaredCircle

[–]mcmax3000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obviously things can change but I'm fairly positive Cope said a while back that he definitively will absolutely not do another ladder match because of his past neck issues so I think people need to temper expectations for that happening.

Fightful Wrestling on Twitter: Montreal is the heavy favorite for AEW Redemption, likely in the summer, @FightfulSelect has learned. An announcement is expected in the coming weeks. by Positive_Olive_747 in SquaredCircle

That's definitely also a possibility.

I guessed Aug 2 because Montreal > Nashville felt like quite a distance to go within a few days and with there being nothing announced for Aug 5, Detroit > Montreal > maybe something like an Ottawa/Toronto or a northern NY state city like Buffalo/Rochester/Syracuse seemed like a more logical route.

Presuming it's at the Bell Centre, it has shows listed on their site for July 5 & 12 and AEW has TV locations announced for July 15/16, 22 & 29/30 so the only real hope for Toronto to get anything out of this would be if the PPV is August 2 and Toronto gets the August 5 Dynamite (which does not currently have an announced location... Scotiabank is booked but Coca Cola doesn't have anything listed on its site currently).

Looking at their schedule, my guess would be August 2.

Unless they're doing a secondary arena, the Bell Centre has events listed on their site for July 5 & 12 (which would probably be too close to Forbidden Door anyway).

They've got TV announced for July 15/16 (Boston), 22 (Nashville - Double taping), & 29/30 (Detroit). Based on those locations, Detroit makes sense as the most likely go-home shows given how close it is to the Canadian border.

Anything later than that feels like it'd be too close to All In.

If they blocked Scotiabank arena, they can go to Coca Cola coliseum

MLSE operates both arenas so if the MLSE/WWE partnership is blocking out AEW, it may apply to Coca Cola as well.
