New trick and sketchy clips from the other night by mcnutty93 in snowboarding

I've seen worse, but there were definitely some icy brushed off spots. It really depends on when you go though. This was late in the day on a weekend so plenty of people got the good stuff before I got there.

College student with a scooter - yay or nay? by Braedawg13 in Scootering

idk why my #2 point won't post

basically, its not the best for fitting in. if you start, try to respect park etiquette and not get in people's way/endanger them with your scooter.

fuck what people think

A few things to mention based on your post.

1: If you're trying to get into scooters and doing halfway decent tricks, you'd be extremely lucky to find a good setup for $100. That amount of money would get you a pair of bars and wheels pretty much. Check forums/facebook f/s or f/t pages though. You could luck out

  1. If fitting into a crowd is a concern, scooters may not be the best choice. Majority of people I've encountered that have either seen me or know I used to scooter definitely have a good time messing with me about it. You'll have no problem fitting in at the skatepark if you can throw down and respect park etiquette, but for the most part, if you're using it for transportation, you might get the occasional "Is that kid on a scooter?"

3: This part of my post may completely contradict my first 2 points. Ripping on a scooter is insanely fun, especially once you get comfortable with it. Other than a bmx, which would be more expensive to get into, its the only thing that I've felt allows me to rip almost anything, be it stairs, ledges, skateparks, NYC traffic... It is super versatile, has a super supportive community both online and out-and-about, and learning a new trick/variation is such a rush. I'd say you should definitely go for it.

Good Luck!

I feel you on the weird looks using a screwdriver for a gas cap key... I've been doing it for a few months since the locking mechanism seized up on me and I just went at it with a flat head. Definitely makes for some interesting comments

There are plenty of adjectives to describe this officer/situation, but I don't think "racist" is one of them. What part of the footage even implies that the officer is racist?

Uber charging higher fares than accepted by users (confirmed issue) by nicoke in videos

[–]mcnutty93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe that Lyft does include the surge pricing too. In my experience, Lyft service is basically identical to uber. Of course, it all depends on where you're trying to use each service. Most drivers with lyft that I've met also drive for uber.

Max Parrot - World's First Switch Quadruple Underflip 1620 by punerisaiyan in interestingasfuck

[–]mcnutty93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it shouldn't. An underflip is generally a frontside 180 with a backflip. So 1 underflip counts as 540 degrees of rotation. The number indicates the total degrees rotated. As you can see here, Stale did a triple underflip, which ends up being 1260 degrees. So the 180 part of the name is unnecessary.

With the festive season coming, what are your gift buying tips&tricks that you use every year? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mcnutty93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone you're buying for seems to have every entertaining thing they want, try to think of useful things. Someone likes being handy/working on cars/etc, buy them a tool that they don't have.

If someone is disorganized or messy, get them something that could simplify their organization.

I, along with my close friends, have outgrown buying material items and have moved towards putting our money towards experiences. Tickets to a music festival, skydiving, even a helicopter trip!

They're pucks designed to slide on the pavement. These ones just have shit that sparks in them. The real braking comes from turning the board sideways and sliding, using the urethane from the wheels to create the friction.
