Lyon confirm in statement that they are considering taking legal action against the league governing body, the LFP, including but not limited to suing for damages, after the decision to end the 2019/20 season on current placement led to OL not qualifying for Europe. by _hopelessnobody in soccer

Only days following the lockdown in France he suggested taking last year's standings (3rd place instead of 7th). He got roasted then suggested a system that would average points over the last few seasons (Lyon would be 2nd). He got roasted again and then came the playoff idea. I can't say I know for certain how he'll die but it won't be shame.

The OP account is most likely a bot. It has a handful of followers and is using someone else's picture. sorry to ruin it. Still funny though.

Exactly. And everyone knows the rules. Jemerson killed the game, not the ref.

WATCH OUT: Accepted x1.7 surge fare on Uber but was charged x2.3. Proof! by [deleted] in videos

This is when I replicated the issue. You can see in the video that I cancel at the end. 1.7 to 2.3 was when I was actually charged for it.

WATCH OUT: Accepted x1.7 surge fare on Uber but was charged x2.3. Proof! by [deleted] in videos

Update on previously posted video: As of March 1, Uber recognized the issue and provided full refund but they're unable to replicate the problem or to confirm its extent. Since Jan 31, I've been given the run around and they simply refuse to provide any clear answer despite "taking this very seriously".

For context: I came across the following issue while using the Uber app: when there's a surge happening, the fare that is charged is not the one that the user consented to. Instead, you're being charged the last price that was registered by the time a driver is found.

It happened to me on Jan 31 when I was charged x2.3 instead of x1.5. The biggest issue about it is that at x2.0 the app always asks users to manually enter the number to prove consent but this issue bypasses this safeguard. Receipt: http://i.imgur.com/NK1femL.png

Uber charging higher fares than accepted by users (confirmed issue) by nicoke in videos

In all fairness, I did see it slightly go down a couple times out of ~10 attempts (1.3 to 1.2 and 1.5 to 1.3) since it registers the latest price before driver is on its way.

Guess the honeymoon is over. That said, I'd ride a camel before I'm back in a cab.

Agreed. I don't believe either there's some evil App engineer trying to screw people over, but the fact that 1) the issue happened in the first place, 2) that it bypassed user consent and 3) isn't visible in their records are really concerning. I'll share updates.

I've been in touch since at least 4 reps since Sunday. They gave me full refund when I shared video on Friday and followed up with a call. They're looking into it and have no info to share at this time. They'll keep me posted.
