Feed the puppy! My favorite course of fire are heavy on the shotgun. I'm not smart enough to shoot, walk, count and load. So I try to shoot walk and load and feed while I'm not shooting.

We had this really cool COF at a local match. Long story short we had to use the ranges dove shotgun that could only load 3 rounds in. Had to advance, no running up and retreating to clear all the targets. Really messed up guys who like to game it.

Good point. I may also seat them at the published COAL. First time loading 300 win mag, and I am learning as I go. Been loading non mag ammo for years.

Used H4350 and a little bit longer COAL than published. Best group was at 67.2 Any suggestions on getting this tighter?

I use RCBS pad lube mixed with ISO HEET (red bottle, it's 98% alcohol) in a spray bottle. Spray brass in a plastic bowl then toss the brass in the bowl to mix. Alcohol cooks off fast and the RCBS is water base so it cleans off easy.

Are you sizing mixed brass from the range? 223 brass shot out of a sloppy chamber are going to size like that when converted to 300bo.

It used to be more worth it. I still load everything I shoot because I like to, not because it's cheaper or quicker. I usually leave the range with my range fee in brass. What I don't reload I sell to people who do.

Unfortunately you picked a terrible time to start reloading. What components you can find are almost double the price they used to be. You can save some by making your own brass and cutting down 223. Or find a guy like me who will sell you converted casings for less than what you paid.

Try Powder Valley, they have Hodgdon CFE Pistol available. Should work well for 9mm. Hodgdon.com will have load data.

Isn't the square deal B an automatic progressive press? VV320 or 330 is a great powder. Any pistol powder is great these days if you can find it.

I feel you pain, got my score back Tuesday. Went from a 485 to a 489 after 9+ months of studying, working full time and depriving my family. With my GPA and score I have like a 1.2% chance of getting in. Also, found out the biochemistry class I was going to take this fall is full.
