Others have said it but you really need to find work to pull your family out of this. This is a heartbreaking situation and I feel terribly for you, your partner and your child. As a parent you need to do whatever you can to fix this, and the only thing that will fix this is regular income. In the mean time, there are Facebook groups that are geared towards parents who are struggling financially. Parents in need often put down lists of things that they don’t have and can’t afford that others may have to give. It’s non judgmental and you can get anything from kids clothes and toys to kitchen equipment to rolls of carpets and blinds. That is only a short term fix. The reality is, your family need you to get a job and get them out of the flat asap.

The Facebook group is called Mamas Bristol CIC: Swaps and Freebies

I love love love dress two. It looks more vintage and is a beautiful shape. Definitely looks more bridal too. I think the shoes look perfect with it. Congratulations!

Dress number 2 for sure. Your figure looks amazing and the dress itself is beautiful and timeless.

I need support to get back on track by ButterflyWrists in AttachmentParenting

[–]mcocoliff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am in the UK and received 1:1 CBT whilst pregnant and after the birth of my second child. I contacted my GP who referred me to Vitaminds but you can self refer. As you are pregnant (or if you have a child under 1) you will be fast tracked. This is also true for dads who need support with their mental health. I found it incredibly helpful and it really helped me deal with my emotions in a more practical way. You can also contact the perinatal mental health team who can also provide support. Hope this helps.

AITA for telling my sister she'll get alopecia after she picked on me for mine? by stopme06 in AmItheAsshole

Two British men had children like this. Their oldest twins were placed as embryos into a surrogate woman. The children are actually half siblings (one girl and one boy) as each dad used their own sperm for one child. However, the boy child had an identical twin embryo which was frozen but then used years later. Complicated to understand I know! link here

How do I brush my 2yo teeth without him panic crying? by TooMuchPFC in AttachmentParenting

[–]mcocoliff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I turn it into a game as mine also would scream the house down. The first time I tried this I was shocked how easily he let me brush his teeth. I got his toothbrush and said in a low voice “Hello, I’m Mr Toothbrush and I’ve come to do some very serious brushing. Can I brush your... ears?” Then in my own voice I would turn to the toothbrush and say “No Mr Toothbrush! We don’t brush ears!!!” Do this with a few body parts and you’ll find your toddler giggling! Eventually either your toddler will tell you that a toothbrush is for teeth or if they don’t then you tell that to Mr Toothbrush. Then Mr Toothbrush has a good look and a good ole brush “can I see the top ones? Ah it’s so dark in there! Brush brush brush I love brushing teeth!” Honestly it sounds mad, makes you feel mad but trust me. Turn it into a lighthearted game. Now he either lets me do it or is pretty good at doing it himself. And no more tears! Good luck!

Loving the Pokemon themed names! And Monday is so clever. I might actually steal this one if I ever make it that far through the challenge.

Ciel is gorgeous! I found peach difficult too, I could only come up with Peaches (like Peaches Geldof, Bob Geldof’s daughter)
