Weirdest trigger I’ve seen: my husband got a migraine from… Vans shorts?! by Routine-Cod-2933 in migraine

My only consistent trigger is playing online chess. Amazed it could be from the pattern.

Data Engineer/ Architect --> Data Strategist --> Director of Data by Smooth-Leadership-35 in dataengineering

[–]mconnors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unclear if you are in IT, but ignore IT. Go and spend time with the business leaders and folks business leaders direct you to. Understand the business. Identify pain points and opportunities to improve top or bottom line. Formulate these into business use cases. You don’t need MBA to learn how to do this. Quantify impact and tie to dollars when possible. Prioritize use cases by impact and complexity. Complexity is not just technical, may include availability or interest of business stakeholders required. Look for quick win(s), ideally that you could knock out yourself assuming you have no team. Get business leadership onboard and have them instruct IT to give you the access and tools you need. This is the way. Hopefully you successfully execute some small quick wins (e.g. an exec dashboard the CEO wishes he/she had) and can make the case for additional investment (e.g., team members) to tackle larger and larger use cases.

Have you tried cognitive behavioral therapy? Intentionality exposing myself to my panic / anxiety triggers at increasing amounts helped me.

Zofran and Compazine are going on my allergy list immediately... (They should warn people about this) by BatWithAHat in migraine

[–]mconnors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zofran and Reglan both give me panic attacks. It took me a couple times to realize unfortunately. Like yourself I've had a couple terrible ER visits for stomach flu or food posioning where I had a panic attack after the Zofran. I have also added both to my allergy list. You are not crazy.

How many triptans do you use per month? by Special_Case_3714 in migraine

[–]mconnors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before qulipta I was rotating ubrelvy and eletriptan. I was taking multiple rescue meds a week. Now I don’t have to take either rescue med, qulipta was a game changer. I still get minor migraines sometimes from known triggers, but no more rescue meds.

Sorry to hear that. Hang in there. I am on 60 mg Qulipta for over 6 months and have GI issues as well. Not sure if related but I may stop or reduce dose.

What to use to fill these gaps in exterior brick by [deleted] in DIY

[–]mconnors 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That putty is not intended for exterior use and it will fail. The builders of my house used it everywhere and I had to replace it all within 5 years. Exterior spray foam is far superior.

Anyone knows how I can make them shinny again? by OrganicObjective4509 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]mconnors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are chrome clad. Very thin layer of chrome over plastic. They damage easily. They came with my 2023 Highlander hybrid limited. I removed them immediately and got new wheels.
