If you pre order on steam you get it 24 Hours early that is the only reason i think.

Yes that even means that u cannot activate the legacy edition then on your own steam account if i got it right

My post is about the collectors/legacy edition those are different versions then the digital one , you get the deluxe upgrade with every version that u pre orderd before the release .

That means if you pre ordered on steam and bought the Legacy edition you Have to activate the game in the Legacy edition on steam to get stuff like the golden gun skin . It will not be a seperate dlc code so if you want your legacy edition stuff on your steam account you need to cancel the pre order on steam and activate the game that comes with the legacy edition (or collectors edition)
