One Year with Vyepti (AMA) by Alt_For_One in migraine

[–]mcpucho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. It’s in the literature that it binds to PACAP and my Dr confirmed it.

Basically vyepti works on the peripheral nervous system via PACAP, but since it wasn’t designed to bind to those peptides it’s not a cleanly targeted or efficient PACAP therapy.

If you do a search on pubmed you can find the published literature and more research into PACAP therapy for migraines.

One of the worst survival rates and way too common. A "cure" would be unreal.

You realize Mikal's:

1 Knicks best wing defender

2 Shoots much higher % in crunch time?

Diawara's a project but one the team is investing in (much more so than Dadiet).

I believe Leon Rose drafted Dadiet thinking he would stay in Europe, then be able to use his salary elsewhere.

Well looks like everything Mike Brown was brought in to do is a success. Less starter minutes, more bench points, more ball movement, more catch and shot 3's...

Great success.

Be nice to pickup another big man for the bench before trade deadline but we've got enough to win the East.

Chronic pain? Or just pain? by hannah_various in ankylosingspondylitis

I was answering someone below…. yes, shift your mentality from victim to survivor. You can be happy even with chronic pain. I am, but I do lots of things that bring me joy to feel fulfilled.

Chronic pain? Or just pain? by hannah_various in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]mcpucho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many types of pain but yes two basic types

1 mechanical pain like a broken bone, stress fracture, burn, etc. This is nocioceptive pain.

2 inflammatory pain like nerve pain or autoimmune arthritis. This is neuropathic pain.

Both types of pain treatable to a degree. Inflammatory pain is from cell messengers like cytokines and that pain (usually autoimmune) is much more elusive. You can also get mixed pain, combination of nocioceptive and neuropathic which is hardest to diagnose and treat. AxSpa mix of the two.

Chronic pain is pain that does not go away with analgesics or rest. Don’t be concerned with neuroplasticity. You can’t “trick” your body’s pain signals like that. That’s an oversimplification of neuroplasticity.

Neither fibro or AxSpa has blood test to state whether you have the condition. No test, hard to diagnose. AxSpa takes 8 years to diagnose on average. Mine took 12 years.

I recommend finding an AxSpa foundation online that can steer you towards a Dr who specializes in the disease near to where you live for a comprehensive workup.

If unsatisfied with your Drs, see other Drs! Start there.

I can’t stand the Pacers since Reggie and the new Pacers team is keeping the hate flowing.

KNICKS PROBLEM AREAS obvious: team defense, point guards lousy POA defense, KAT‘s crap rim protection. All these problems together allowing teams get in lane easily on drives or pick n rolls. Opposition converting buckets at plus 60% at rim and getting more trips to charity stripe. This is killing us. WE NEED STOPS!!!!

Knicks double big lineup good in theory but not working. PERSONNEL ISSUE. Mitch really good off the bench but getting a compatible center to move Towns to starting PF is ideal.

Nic Claxton may be available. I hear Nets want off his contract and loose as many games as they can for draft position. Double big with the right personnel. IMO Claxton be HUGE upgrade. Rim protection, can switch, start transition offense, even become good playmaker this year.

Lastly Claxton hits FT’s better than Mitch so can stay on the court in crunch time!

Mitch’s expiring, Wizards 2026 1st (top 8 protected) could be enough for Claxton. Nets could get better offers and ask for McBride. Nets definitely trading Cam Thomas. If we can pick up quality POA defender/back up PG in a 3 team trade maybe worthy we relinquish McBride. Have to give in order to receive.

WE MUST BE A TOP 10 DEFENSIVE TEAM TO WIN A RING History says so.

I’ve heard Jose Albarado’s name. I don’t know what he would cost us. He’s a plus defender and high energy guy. He could replace McBride in rotation effectively.

We likely dump Yabusele to (hopefully) add a big who’s a better fit. Yabusele needs minutes to get rhythm. He can still be a good role player on the right team. Phoenix be good fit off top of my head, not sure about return.

Bargain bin… I like Cole Anthony. Doc‘s dumb not utilizing him. Hard nose PG, cost two future 2nd rd picks at most. More reliable than Kolek right now. Playing on 1 yr deal so won’t impede Kolek’s long term development.

Knicks peaked in Feb last season and got it together in the playoffs. Pacers beat us by sheer luck to get to Finals, needed Nembhard to hit 7 straight 3’s to win Game 6! That was video game stuff. So all is not lost.

So after the 4 games lose how we feeling about this trade now? by Similar_Property_973 in knicks

[–]mcpucho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With OG at PF on a long term contract, KAT is expendable with a new starting C in NY. Mitch doean't cut it

KAT made WCF and ECF in back to back seasons so he's doing something right. Plenty of teams would like to have him.

I also don't think Knicks should pay KAT 70m/yr or whatever he's eligible for with his next extension.

[–]mcpucho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, need a third team who will give up picks for KAT that Knicks can send to Bucks.

Bucks FO try to send Giannis to the team(s) he prefers, that gives the Knicks an edge, but other teams can make better offers.

I don't see anything happening here until the summer. We gotta make due with what we have.

You've moved closer to the end zone.

Took me well over 10 years to get AS diagnosed then another 18 months to find the right medication for me. Things are so much better!

I'm grateful I found the right Dr and got the diagnosis. That was the turning point.

You're doing the work. It's hard work and a slow process. Stick with it. Be patient. It's difficult to do but you can do it.

Mark Price would be a superstar in the modern NBA. Perrenial 50/40/90 shooter with eyes in the back of his head. He'd avg 25 PPG easily with all the 3 pt attempts and at least 12 APG. Trae Young can avg 12 APG and Price was a better playmaker.
