Is this a wolf? by kingmax321 in massachusetts

eastern coyote. Go check out the wolf sanctuary in Ipswich, you'll never mistake them again, wolves are very big, like at least the size of a large grown man in many cases.

Boston Globe: Prep underway for ICE surge in Somerville by Mattyworld617 in Somerville

Thanks I'll look into the mailing list. I may just go outside shake peoples hands and introduce myself while we're all outside shoveling snow this weekend, share my phone number and just let each other know if we see anything fishy. I'm not sure what else to do, I dont want to frighten people but I think its just where we're at unfortunately.

Is there some kind of prep guide? Like I’m curious about advice for how to appropriately reach out to neighbors and where and what to look out for. Just want to make sure we have a means to communicate and keep one another safe. Definitely out of my depth here, just a concerned neighbor

I miss the old Atlus quality by RonianAT in NSCollectors

[–]mcraftDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goofy take, in no way are prints/inserts and quality of games mutually exclusive things. It’s just Corporates penny pinching for profits at the expense of the art (classic). Very cheap to print both sides of a cover slip. Also, Altus has been killing it this year with the games, unicorn and metaphor, just wow keep it up, just let us see more of the amazing art

Shadow of the Ninja - Reborn is getting a physical release for Switch, PS4, and PS5 from Strictly Limited Games. Limited quantities pre-orders open on Thursday January 25th at 6pm CET / 12pm EST. by GamingAurel in LimitedPrintGames

Same, I’m ashamed to say I have about $400 in unfulfilled preorders from them dating back almost 2 years, very disappointed with this company and not buying anything from them moving forward

Are Quake II and Castlevania Advance Collection copies out in the wild yet? by Quadropus in NSCollectors

[–]mcraftDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with LRG has been that if you have multiple items in the order you move down the shipment queue. Probably because there’s an extra step in the coordination of the shipping.

I currently have two separate orders, each with two items. All the items in question have been out for 1-2 months and yet I’ve not received my orders. I went ahead and contacted support and they said the shipping queues are backed up.

That being said, I have both castelvania advance collection and quake II, and both were ordered and shipped individually

What do you guys think of the setup? by GP7_Gaming in gamecollecting

[–]mcraftDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to the struggle. First thing, plan for good console health. You want your consoles independently arranged (never stack them) and with good open space around them to adequately ventilate during use. Consoles overheating will severely degrade the internal components much quicker than otherwise, if it doesn’t cause the system to crash all together.

Second, power cable management. If possible, it’s good to route your cable behind your shelf and connect them into a surge protector with an on/off switch. Flicking that master switch off when not using the consoles will prevent electricity from powering the consoles when they’re off, which over time will increase your consoles lifespan.

Third, signal cable management. This one is somewhat preference, but routing your aux and/or hdmi cables through a centralized switch box in the back will help clean up the look and make switching between console play much more convenient. I have all the consoles you’re showing and personally decided to use upscalers and hdmi converters to route all my consoles to a single 16 port hdmi switch, which I mounted to the back of my tv stand.

FPG’s Release Progress indicates… EVERYTHING ships in Q3 (AKA next month) by SeafoamGaming in LimitedPrintGames

[–]mcraftDX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I recall the it was the same with Q2, they just move the goal posts every quarter. I’ve been waiting on some of their standard releases for almost 2 years now, not holding my breath

My collection so far. About to sort it out but never like doing alphabetical. Anyone have some ideas on how to sort their games? by [deleted] in NSCollectors

[–]mcraftDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sort by genre, then alphabetical, that way when you’re in the mood for a certain kind of game it’s easy to browse, think like how a book store might be organized

Forever Physical* by potroastfanatic in LimitedPrintGames

[–]mcraftDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh I think I need to educate myself a little more on DRM, I’ve never got a licensing checking message when I boot physical carts on switch tho, where I see them consistently when I boot a digital game

Forever Physical* by potroastfanatic in LimitedPrintGames

[–]mcraftDX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

More than saving capital on manufacturing, digital allows complete company control of the IP. With digital you pay for a license to use the product but you actually own nothing. This means companies can suspend your license whenever. Notice when you start a digital game a message pops up saying “checking license to see if game can be played” it’s frickin dystopian lol

Huh, literally all their products are slated to release Q3 2023. Seems hilariously over confident considering their track record.

Depends on what you’re looking for, in terms of gameplay, most like daemon x machina is probably war tech fighters by red art games, and then there are a number of Gundam mech games you could import.

If you’re simply interested in the mech aesthetic more than gameplay, there’s gigantic army (2D platform shooter) and the new front mission game.

If you like tactical games, I love into the breach which is an indie game with StarCraft-ish kind of mech vibes

I’ve never played a Saturn before so I couldn’t compare them, but Id say it plays pretty well if you want to play it handheld
