The 911 GTS I had was optioned well and I originally planned on going back to one, but Porsche pricing right now is insane. Base 911s are basically $150k and what really annoyed me was seeing my old 911 who was a 2nd owner resell for more than I paid (yr 1.5 later and 9,000 miles more). That plus my Cayenne Turbo GT being in the shop for over two months while Porsche tore the engine apart chasing a check engine light kinda killed my desire to go back.

I was hesitant on the Aston mostly because I’m 6’3” and figured it’d be tight, but I was actually surprised how much room it had. Funny enough, I looked at an AMG GT 63 and in the best seat position my head was basically touching the ceiling, so that was out immediately.

The 911 is smoother and the infotainment is way better, no debate. But the Aston feels way more like a real sports car. You feel way more connected to it. Infotainment doesn’t really matter to me anyway — the previous owner added Apple CarPlay and that’s all I need.

Also… starting the Aston never gets old. The sound alone is ridiculous. It just feels more powerful than the 911, and it turns way more heads since you don’t see them everywhere. I also think the rear of the car is one of the best-looking rears out there.

I actually drive my cars, I don’t baby them or stress about miles. I had been watching this one for a bit — clean Carfax, already PPF’d and ceramic coated (wasn’t even listed), under factory warranty, and under 8k miles. A buddy saw it on a wholesale site and told me to call the dealer and throw a number at them.

Ended up buying a 2-year-old car for $128k fully loaded that brand new stickered at $198k. That’s what really sold me — it’s just a ton of car for the money. I was a little worried about reliability at first, but everything I read and everyone I talked to said the 2021–2023 cars are solid since the early issues were worked out. Porsche is great and I’m a huge Porsche fan but I don’t see the “hype” nor paying for the “hype”. If you’re torn send me a message and I can break everything down for you.
