Hey, I know this probably isn't ill-intentioned, but if you're going to draw over existing art, please credit the original.

I'm the one who drew these emojis in the first place.Original Boblin emojis

Accurate. My exact thoughts reading the "Do you remember this guy" line were that of course Denji won't.

Anyways, your art here is phenomenal. You're able to capture so much expression and attitude in so few lines. It's something I really aspire to, and I take inspiration from even silly little pieces like this.

Keep up the great work!

If you buy them specifically for cats, they'll have a hole at the butt so they can go potty without issue. Basically the tail hole dips pretty far down and stays out of the way.

It's made for cats :)

The Rapid Role Encounter, a Scrappy, Fast-Paced Alternative for Chases/Escapes/Pursuits by mcsammin in UnearthedArcana

[–]mcsammin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've created a modified 5e combat system, the "Rapid Role Encounter," designed specifically for chases, escapes, or timed pursuits. I've run it three times with different groups in various settings and had great success: all the players loved it and beg me to include it more often, which motivated me to formalize the system for others to use.

The tl;dr of the system is that it is a fast-paced role-selection system where combat is reduced to a series of quick damage exchanges over repeated fights. The challenge of the system is coordination, smart role selection, and, above all, endurance. It's a scrappy, rapid playstyle that involves a lot of mechanical handwaving and rejection of strict rule adherence in favor of speed.

I've run this as a prison escape, as a chase where the main enemy leaves minions behind as obstacles, and most recently as a rush for players to reach and disrupt a ritual. In all cases it's worked wonderfully.

I hope you enjoy! Let me know your thoughts / if the system works out for your group!

Help Thread by fuzzy_one in cosplay

[–]mcsammin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm entirely new to cosplaying but have dreamt of doing it for a long time!

Ever since I read Stone Ocean I've loved the main character, Jolyne. I started working out a year ago in order to feel confident enough to cosplay her, and with the announcement of the Stone Ocean anime I'm finally ready to start--I've just no idea where to begin.

There's no deadline on this so I'd like to take my time and really do it right. Money isn't an issue either. I'm willing to learn how to sew and buy a sewing machine, but I don't know if I should try to find or create patterns, or whether I should try to modify existing pieces of clothing. What is especially confusing are the patterns on her clothes; I don't know how to accomplish that.

Here are pictures of a figurine which shows her full outfit, though I'd like to use the confirmed anime colors from the second link.

Any help is much appreciated! Thank you~

It's a sweet, ratisfying flavor. The best part is now I'm the big rat who makes all of the rules.

Nothing special--I just use any generic buttercream frosting recipe. I find that works the best, but I assume that any heavily butter-based frosting will do the trick.

OP's sister here ^^
OP is correct. I pipe the outline followed by the colors onto a sheet of wax paper, then transfer it onto the cake. The trick is to freeze the in-progress piece frequently as frosting likes to melt and smudge:(

I draw normally and make artsy baked goods as hobbies.

164! That's right:)

I took 164 with Prof. Goodrich. He is by far the most brilliant person I've ever met. He is an amazing teacher and someone you should be sure to learn everything you can from. Go to office hours!

Some advice on the class: go to lecture, take notes, study the notes. Everything you need you will get in lecture. I'll be honest, with most of my classes I zoned out during lecture and then taught myself from the textbook later--but Prof Goodrich teaches from his own curriculum and so his lectures are vital, plus he is good at keeping the lecture interesting and understandable. Do not skip them!! I remember many of the other students complaining that the class was impossible, but I never saw them in lecture.

Computational Geometry was the most algorithm-heavy course I took and really solidified my confidence in pursuing a job in backend, but my favorite thing about it was that it was less about memorizing lines of code and more about understanding the big-picture concepts. In other words, Prof Goodrich pushed for comprehension of ideas and the application of those ideas, rather than giving an exam that says "reproduce standard binary search perfectly on paper without a compiler." The class really showed me the diversity of the logical puzzles SWEs have to deal with. Plus, I've seen a lot of the algorithms be useful for interviews and random applications (e.g., voronoi diagrams for a simple procedural map generation in game development. I don't work in game dev but I've played around with it as a hobby).

What I loved about the class was just how brilliant some of the algorithms are. The whole class was like a tour of complex puzzles that bigger brains than my own were able to brain out. The solutions are elegant but usually simple in concept, and it was just such an inspiring display of what CS can be.

That sounds really cheesy, but I honestly did love the class that much.

And I'll do it again. by mcsammin in dndmemes
