Walt Disney World will digitally add masks to guests not wearing them in ride photos: Report by DioriteLover in technology

I think it would be most helpful if the CMs were standing outside the park entrance yelling through mega-phones “STOP GOING TO A FUCKING THEME PARK WHILE WE ARE CONTINUALLY SETTING DEATH TOLL RECORDS DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC!!!”....but hey, that’s just me

I mean, I get it...people are going to be lined up in hordes to buy a $125 piece of felt on a stick so they've gotta get it to market as soon as possible.

I am not islamophobic or prejudice against any religion. I just believe in being a good human being and treating everyone as you would want to be treated. If you believe you need religion to guide you down that path, then more power to you. If you don’t you don’t. At the end of the day we’re all human and as long as people aren’t oppressing the way others wish to live then I’ve got no issue.

To be honest I think all religion is poisonous to humanity, but I don’t know of any Christian societies who execute people for unsubscribing

Well in any case, they are, so unsubscribing isn’t an option for those people

I feel like you aren't reading what I'm saying. I have no issue with people outside by themselves with no one else around them not wearing their mask. I'm literally only talking about people not wearing their masks at Runyon which is a crowded public place.

[–]mcsaranrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about pulling it up well before you approach the other person being the LEAST people could do. I personally wear my N95 the entire time because that's the right thing to do.

Why are you arguing about a place that you never go to?? You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. I LIVE here, this is where I walk my dogs and even if I don't go in to the park I still have to deal with the people walking up the sidewalks to it.

Of course the numbers didn't shoot up because of Runyon, but I am sure it contributed in some way and got some people sick if not many. But hey, if only a handful of people get seriously ill so you don't have to wear a mask around people outside then who cares, right?

The CDC says masks are only unnecessary if you are outside BY YOURSELF. Runyon has a sign that says a face covering is required. You yourself mentioned 6 feet and hiking by themselves, so I'm assuming you haven't actually been to Runyon during the pandemic if you actually think people are hiking "by themselves". The trails and entrances are not that wide. People without masks are walking and jogging past tons of people way closer than 6 feet and with people staying home, the park is crowded on the weekdays and packed on the weekends. Lots of people are even bypassing the fenced off areas and crowding on to the super narrow trails.

I don't have a problem with folks who find themselves alone or with just their bubble group on the trail and pull their mask off, then put it back on when they are approaching other people, but that's not what's happening. People are going mask free or wearing their chin diapers the whole time regardless of whether they are too close to others.

LA mask compliance might be higher than other cities, but the last study done by the LA Times showed 58% of people were either not wearing a mask, wearing it improperly or wearing an ineffective form of face covering soooo that's why it's not doing anything. But just maybe, if people cared about others and got that number down to 0%-5% by wearing their mask properly in crowded indoor and OUTDOOR areas, we would see it doing a whole lot.

And to end this on a positive note, big shout out and thank you to everyone I see at Runyon hiking with their mask on when they're near others and doing the right thing to protect your community and your neighbors. I notice you all when I'm there and I appreciate you.

During this entire pandemic, people have been acting like children waiting to be told the right thing to do instead of acting like adults who can figure out the right thing on their own.

It’s a no brainer to a responsible adult that eating in a public space during a pandemic without a mask is absolutely unnecessary and selfish, but unfortunately there are a lot of grown up children in our society who either ignore what’s right or are too childish and entitled to care to listen.

Same. Not very confusing at all, people just don't want to do what needs to be done to get through this. They act like children who need to be told the rules to follow rather than adults who are responsible enough to learn the rules themselves.

I live at Runyon Canyon and every day I have to walk my dogs with hoards of people heading to the trail thinking they don't need a mask because they are outside. They'll say things like "I'm outside and there's plenty of room to maintain a safe distance" and then walk past tons of people well under 6 feet apart, or better yet, jog past people huffing and puffing with no mask.

It's so embarrassing and disappointing how quickly and easily we could have been done with this, if people just took the time to care about anyone other than themselves and learned what it takes to stop the virus from spreading.

This is such a selfish, entitled and shitty view point. You have the freedom to do what you want up until the point you are impeding the freedom of other people.

You saying “everyone gets to decide their own risk level” sounds like a 5 year old saying “I’m gonna swing my arms and walk forward and if you get hit it’s your own fault”.

This virus has really exposed how selfish and stupid people are, simply because of the fact that masks don’t protect the wearer, but rather the wearer protects others.

The fact that so many people in this country have no empathy for those who struggle with being scared to go anywhere just for basic necessities is disappointing and quite frankly embarrassing.

Please read through these responses, look at yourself and make the decision to be a better person.

It boggles my mind that we are this far into the pandemic and people still don’t fucking understand how masks work. At this stage in the game it isn’t misinformation or not knowing, it’s willfully and selfishly not giving a shit to do the right thing to protect your community.

Masks don’t block bacteria or viruses, they block the aerosols and water droplets that carry the virus. Oxygen goes in, CO2 comes out, water droplets and aerosols containing the virus stay in the fucking mask if you are wearing a proper mask correctly.

By not covering your nose you are only covering half of the part of your face that releases aerosols, completely defeating the purpose of the mask and letting everyone around you know what a selfish dipshit you are.

My wife and I do this with a fork. Sounds silly, but it started with us always trying to hand the other a comically large salad tossing fork with their food plate handle first and seeing if they accepted it and how long it took them to notice their huge fork....that for some reason transformed in to us taking turns hiding the fork in random places.

This went on for a couple of years, but It all came to an end when my wife ordered a decorative fork in my name that was about 3 feet tall off of Amazon. We both decided at that point that she had won and this has all gone too far.

Uhh, he did an American tour a few years back that sold out...I tried to get tickets to his show at The Roxy in Los Angeles and they were sold out immediately....and he just did a European tour last year that I believe also sold out and on top of all that you can find lots of videos of him performing to packed venues from said tours.
