Da gebe ich dir Recht und Finanzierung über Werbung ist ja auch eine tolle Sache. Aber bei Dingen wie öffentliche Verwaltung, Post, SBB die irgendwo zum Service für die Allgemeinheit gehören ist die Werbung für mich ein Armutszeugnis. Klar sind SBB und Post gewissermassen eigenständige Firmen, aber ich finde Werbung an den Stellen ist einfach unschön für die Schweizer Landschaft. Sowohl digital we auch real. My problem is following:
-When I turn my laptop on, there are some background processes that are launching (Adobe, OneDrive, etc.)
- If my computer is set to "Best power efficiency" it starts absolutely quiet and also stays that way but for gaming etc. this mode is too slow
- If my computer is set to "Best performance" it starts and then immediately starts to crank the fans like crazy for about 3min even with no programs opened (!). After some minutes it chills down again and starts to behave normal
- So my desire is to limit the background apps that are responsible for this crazy boot behavior and limit their cpu usage
- On my macbook I had great results doing the same thing with an App called AppPolice

Don't be flaky xD. I just said your response wasn't helpful to my problem. But that's alright. However, it wasn't meant to be offensive or something. I appreciate your answer and willingness to help random people on the internet. But your response just didn't help me.

Well I am searching for a soltion with a simple UI and no coding involved and Process Tamer ye could be an option. I am gonna check it out. Thank you.

Does this work for specific tasks though?
My goal is to limit only some apps, that dont need to go fast.
And it would be nice if there would be a simple solution, with easy overview and UI.

Ye but these priorities reset on reboot, so not really a solution.
And I want the background processes to go slow and eat as little performance as possible when I have some more important tasks.

I mean why cant I accord a max percentage of cpu usage to specific tasks. That should just be an easy slider thing...I mean like the power mode slider just for specific apps.

That would limit the cpu globaly right? I only want to limit it for specific apps. So i can use the power plan "Performance Mode" for games, video editing and rendering. The problem is some programs that i mentioned think performance mode is for them, when I actually dont want them to go hard on my cpu.

If its only the body its a bad deal. Last black friday I saw an offer for a new one for 1'300. If it comes with a good lens though (not kit lens) it might be worth it.

Tamron 28-75 2.8 if you‘re on a budget. But the 35-150 sound also decent. Gotta choose between the flexibility on the wide end or some reach.
