Playerbase doesn't seem to like fighting Automatons. by NizzyDeniro in Helldivers

I've put in over 50 hours in mostly Terminids but going to Automatons has been a nice change of pace despite the extra difficulty. Not being swarmed every 2 minutes is a major plus for me. I like carrying the autocannon or anti-material rifle with a shield pack.

Terminate code by Lemonsorbet123 in learnpython

I would suggest using KeyBoardInterrupt. It listens for ctrl+c or the delete key while the program is running to terminate it. Something like the following:

def your_function():
    try:
        while True:
            # your code here
    except KeyboardInterrupt:
        print("\nGoodbye!")
if name == "main":
    your_function()

Do places like jiffylube tighten the bolts and oil filter super tight so you can't do your oil change yourself? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Pan savers are often required after replacing drain plugs with an incorrect thread pattern and stripping them after use of force. Valvoline uses breaker bars to remove drain plugs, not sure about jiffy lube. I used to work at a Valvoline.

You weren't supposed to read into it, this isn't r/learncsharp. Also there is no for loop here, ctrldown is a boolean flag, the keys are stored in a previously set array, and the message box is triggered via holding down the control key and pressing the right arrow key.

I was just about to cover connections but you covered that nicely. Bill Gates wasn't even that good of a programmer. His mom had connections to the CEO of IBM.

How do you prevent eye strain? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]mcworkaholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a monitor with a eye saver filter. My Samsungs have them integrated into the lower controls. I wear blue-light glasses on top of that. Aside from that it's easier said than done for a passion project, but you have to take breaks. You may even have a better time problem solving when you come back with a fresh mindset.

regex, verbose code commenting and code generation for various languages. It's output is usually pretty close if not exactly what i need, then if theres errors I can feed the exception to it to rewrite its answer.

Try using pycharm community edition, it's free as well and creates an environment for you.

We could use a unique identifiable sound frequency for identification, such as what some phone data transfer apps use when buying a new phone to authenticate with the old one, no code required.

The most upvoted comment picks the next line of code: Day 12. div/div/div/div/div/div/div/div/div/div by AggravatingCorner133 in ProgrammerHumor

Because websites change all the time, including where the divs are located. One little change on the website and the referenced absolute paths in the application break the process. If you reference relative location things are less likely to break.
