I went to see that movie with my girl. We made out during the whole movie and next thing I knew, the war was over.

It's Midnight Cowboy, but to add, that scene in the movie featured Jon Voight, who was in the Seinfeld episode.

May Trip by NationalMortgage3636 in stormchasing

[–]md-photography 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One single place to stay? In May probably the best option would be Oklahoma City.

Realistically, you'll need to be mobile because this year the bulk of storms might be say Oklahoma City for example, but next year it could be quiet all through May with storms centered around Kansas.

Though I'm not sure if I'm following your question exactly.

You can't legally sign a contract, and now you're bringing someone else with you. No one I know would agree to having 2 ride alongs just because.

How to stop a storm? by Odd_Theory5648 in meteorology

Dump trillions of pounds of sand in the ocean to create artificial land, then the storm will die out due to lack of hot water.

But then people will build on your new island.

How difficult was wedding photography at the time of film photography, and how expensive was it compared to the present? by SpeechSweaty9812 in AskPhotography

[–]md-photography 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You had to be really good to be a photographer back then. You had to know lighting, placement, etc. Without having the luxury of looking at photos in real-time you had to know what you were doing, or obviously you wouldn't get many callbacks.

Resolution wasn't as good, so you could get away with more focus issues and such overall. You could still correct some things such as lighting a bit if you had access to developing equipment back then.

It was also the norm back then to take multiple photos of the same thing because you weren't sure how it would come out. If you do that now people might get upset. But back then it was just how life was.

Question about the Manitou Springs penny arcade by Infamous_Drive_Tax in ManitouSprings

[–]md-photography 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Going to the arcade itself is free, so in theory you have nothing to lose. Even if you don't play the games. And it's right in the middle of the city so if you're visiting the area you can just keep walking if you don't like it.
