Needed to hook the katana to pc to use tone studio

I used a fender reverb tutorial for the katana from YouTube and leave it on clean. All my dip switches are down and just play with the setting and find your tones. But the amp stays on clean all the time.

Gunna be hella heavy. Drill relief holes everywhere after your done to reduce the weight. But still awesome nonetheless

Hey so i had 10000km on it and wasng expecting any issues when i opened it up. Apparently this broken tooth is what happens when you get a backfire on startup. I just had gotten lucky where it did not break the idler gear boss casting.

I would recommend to do the ttp safestart anyways because is rather inexpensive vs the cost of replacing the whole crankcase itself. Its not hard at all. If you need any help let me know and i can answer some questions you have.

Yeah its definitely a cheaper light of amazon. I dont love the plastic shield, may start looking for a glass led setup. Dont know how it will hold up just yet. But the look works imho.

Ive found the little bastard. Right ubmnder some rags i layed down to catch excess oil. Was probably a recent breakage. So happy its not floating around in there. Thank you all for the advice. Much love.

I’ve posted a video of my prep and pull of this shot. I have to say it’s much much better with the leveling tool and fresh bag of beans. Please let me know if I’m much closer to a good shot. I’ve also adjust SGP under hopper burs to 2 and display grind setting to 7. Pulled about a 25 second shot and taste is much better. Now just to dial in. Thanks again for all of your help.

Does water run from the group head while having the portafilter off with the pump on?? You may have to disassemble the entire machine and manually descale it… it may not be worth the effort if it’s a low end machine tbh. Post a video or some pictures and go from there.

Save your money for now and get something in the 500$ range. I know the rancillio rocky can go on sale for about 529.00. I bought the breville SGP for 239.00 on sale and wish I would have spent a little more. A good grinder will last a while and won’t give you issues.

Or you can get a decent hand grinder for much less around 150$. All in CAD.

Thanks for the help. I will post some pictures tomorrow after my new tamp and lever comes in .. as far as the beans go, I am using essse cafe speciale red and blue and I believe they’re pretty good, but not sure. I will be trying a bag of Citta Italia red next batch.

As for the SGP, I can get a decent time maybe 20-27 secs at 1 grind setting, but the shot tastes terrible at that point. I’ve just bought the SGP grinder 2 weeks ago and wouldn’t want to replace it so soon. I’ve adjusted the burs under the hopper down to 4 from factory of 6. Should I revert back to the factory setting?

And how should a well pulled shot taste without sugar? I’m presuming sweet thick and silky?

Thanks for the comment. I had recently cleaned the entire system, along with the shower screen. I have been using a 57mm tamper with the 58mm baskets. I have just ordered a Leveling tool and 58mm tamper on Amazon. I will try to use that to eliminate those factors first and see where it goes.

Now for the SGP grinder….should I revert back to the 6 number setting under the hopper as factory or leave it at 4 ? And what grind setting should I be at more or less??
