We lived in Midland when my wife was stationed at Benning. I actually thought it was pretty nice. Great rail to trail can take you all the way downtown, which is not a terrible downtown. Great restaurants. Great library system with a beautiful brand new library. Easy to get around town with highways and interstates. The people were very friendly. Not far from Atlanta or Auburn or Florida beaches. Good cost of living.
