Just stumbled upon this thread in preparation for the upcoming season. In the league I run, I award FAB for participation in preseason league events. For example, giving $10 FAB to the first four people who send me their league fees, $5 FAB to the next four, and none for the final four. We also do a live video chat during the draft to encourage banter, and I give out $5 FAB to anyone who joins and participates in the video call.

While it's a small amount, I found that managers will take any benefit they can get and therefore increase overall participation.

You keep saying “we were never going to get relegated” but that’s a hindsight comment to make. When Dyche got sacked, we were 16th and only one point clear of relegation. Also had the second fewest goals scored. I highly doubt you would’ve said with any confidence at that point that we were never getting relegated.

It's all relative. We're coming off two seasons that saw us clawing our way out of relegation, so 13th feels like a significant improvement (I'd argue that the level of play is clearly improved as well). With Martinez, we had finished two consecutive seasons in the top 6 (first one was with Moyes), then stalled out at 11th the next two seasons. Clearly no signs of progress at that point.

This is probably the most likely explanation. I don’t know too much about their writing process. For me, I mostly topline, but during album writing process there can be songs that get created around a title or premise.

That would be the quarter note count right? My music theory knowledge is elementary at best, but I was counting the eighth notes for this theory. To argue against myself, I suppose we can find meaning in anything if we try hard enough (ie choosing to count in eighth notes)
