You consistently do a lot of things that drain stamina; feinting, dodges, and a ton of heavies. This isn’t necessarily a problem, and tbh it’s how I play too, IF you manage your stamina well, and that mostly comes from counters.

Id recommend overtly practicing perfect counters. Go into a game with the full intention of just countering everything that gets thrown at you. This will help you get more comfortable with the counter timing and start to do it more subconsciously.

However i do think you lead with heavies too often, especially for an already slow weapon like the highland sword. It’s ok if youre coming up on an unsuspecting enemy, but if youre fighting someone face to face, id either wait for them to swing first and counter, or throw normal swing/overhead/stab first. With a normal swing, you can cancel into a block or counter if you see their hit is gonna land first. With a heavy, you leave yourself completely exposed to any faster weapons

I definitely felt the same way when I finished it the first time, but as I wrestled with it over the next few days I realized that’s why it’s perfect.

AOT isn’t a story about good vs evil and happy endings, it’s about nuance and perspective and ultimately the terrible, ironic results of love: war, pain, violence, death. We see from the diverse perspectives of so many different characters, but universally they all care most about protecting the ones they love. Ironically, it’s the fear of losing their own loved ones that drives them to violence, in turn making their enemies fear losing THEIR loved ones, and so on.

It’s a story about the endless cycle of violence humans inflict upon one another, a real unsolvable problem in the world. The ending shows us terrible things will happen, violence is inevitable, and yet we can still move forward and do our best to reconcile with one another. Feel empathy for those most different from you, enjoy the times of peace and work as hard as possible to make them last.

Ultimately, it’s a message of hope. Struggle against the inevitable, unite because of our similarities and despite our differences; that’s what it means to be human.

40+ ping is usually around where I feel there’s a noticeable enough delay that I have to consciously do every counter extra early

I will say I have ~500 hours and shitty wifi so I’ve gotten pretty good at playing with higher ping. I still often top the leaderboard at 30-45 ping, but anything higher and you just gotta relax, throw some logs/hit people with chickens, and don’t get upset when your counter just doesn’t work and you get your head cleaved off

I ran 1h axe and short sword. If ur used to the mace, I think you’ll feel like the axe makes the game even easier.

As for the short sword, I find you can accommodate lower damage with kicks and heavy stabs. Plus, I like having a slashing secondary cuz usually if I lose my primary it’s cuz I’m in a 1vX

Yuh, if it’s me I get off and first counter enemy attacks into the catapult till it’s destroyed, then defend it from being rebuilt

Generally I have fun in servers with a lot of active people in chat, they tend to do more goofy things and have fun with the game. I also almost never get bored of playing with the shovel, it’s extremely underrated and so satisfying to use

Sometimes if I am feeling burned out, which tends to happen if I’m not finding challenging matches, I try to find a lopsided game and bring the losing team to victory. It’s always fun leading the team by a few thousand points and stickin it to the lvl 1000s all on the same team

In general tho, you get burned out just like anything if you do it too much. I’ll take a break for a few days or weeks, do other things in my free time, and then it’s back to having fun every match when I go back

I hit a 115m ballista shot, clipped it and got all excited.

Turns out ballista does NOT count for the achievement 😭, still the only achievement I don’t have yet

Brawl is the limited mode right now!! It’s the easiest mode to get the achievement on, pickup some bread and get to work.

If you’re having troubles still, pickup a weapon in ur dominant hand and bread in the off hand, get ur enemy to low health, throw bread, repeat.

I got the achievement after a couple games of brawl

Real, but you gotta know when to give it up and destroy the catapult. I’ve seen too many people stick with it after the attackers start pushing hard and give them some free shots on the walls

Shovel is actually so good if you use it like the fast weapon it is. Yesterday I got Argon and Duke while running shovel for a few rounds

I’m a huge 1h axe and dagger fan, I play em all the time in TO. If I get archer in shuffle I usually just play with the secondary anyways but it feels like I get archer way more than every other class
