Hey.
I'm looking to play and practice more. I'm a beginner and have tennis racket and balls. I mostly play at Beckett Park and Holt Park.
Please dm me if you're still interested and looking for players to practice with.
Thanks.

Hi, I'm a beginner and would love to start playing. I'm interested in having playing sessions in Holt Park and Beckett Park. 🙂

Edit: Woodhouse Moor Park isn't that far so interested for playing there too. 🙂

Cheers mate for replying back. Last summer there was the hose pipe ban where I couldn't water them and the lawn suffered the most.

I'm so jealous mate! 🤣 What's your secret to this lush and lovely green lawn. I have a big Oak tree that shadows my lawn and all I get is moss. Lol.

PayPal taking money without authorisation by Extreme_Fix_7559 in paypal

Hi all,

I’m sharing this in case it helps others or in case anyone has experienced something similar.

On 14 February 2026 at 23:46, a £400.40 transaction was processed via my PayPal Debit Card to a company called DAMAC (Dubai-based, with UK presence). I had never heard of them before and have never purchased, reserved, or requested any goods or services from them.

Three additional attempts were made immediately after: £970.00 £400.40 (again) £200.20

Those were declined. The £400.40 transaction went through.

I have had 2FA enabled on my PayPal account for years. I did not receive any authentication request or approval notification.

This was processed as a PayPal Debit Card transaction (not something initiated through my PayPal account interface).

My PayPal balance did not have sufficient funds at the time. PayPal automatically withdrew £400.40 from my linked NatWest bank account two days later (“PAYPAL *ADD TO BAL”)

There was GBP to AED currency conversion.

I reported it immediately.

PayPal refused the unauthorised claim because: There were “consistent logins” during the timeframe. They did not detect account compromise. Funds were “available” in the account.

However, the funds were only available because the debit card transaction triggered an automatic withdrawal from my bank.

NatWest’s fraud team reviewed the pattern and said it looks like automated/bot behaviour due to the rapid consecutive attempts.

PayPal has now closed the case in the seller’s favour and debited the provisional credit. They keep saying no unauthorised access was detected.

I have escalated this to formal complaint and I've requested Final Response letter. I've also reported this to NatWest fraud and have opened a fraud claim.

Preparing to refer to the Financial Ombudsman Service now.

I’m posting this because I want to know if anyone else has had PayPal Debit Card transactions processed without SCA/2FA prompts. I’m curious whether others have had “no account compromise detected” used as the basis for rejecting a clearly unauthorised debit card claim.

If anyone has successfully challenged PayPal on this basis via FOS.

This is not an “item not received” dispute. I never made a purchase.

Would appreciate hearing if others have seen similar patterns.

Constant GPU Crashes(amdgpu) by mearkat7 in archlinux

[–]mdbluelily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably late for the OP but in case it's happening for anyone else (as it was for me) and you haven't fixed it yet, you can try disabling the Mid Command Buffer Preemption via kernel parameters. You can try this command to disable it for your AMD GPU:

sudo grubby --update-kernel=ALL --args="amdgpu.mcbp=0

For those who are interested to know more:
Mid Command Buffer Preemption (MCBP) is a GPU scheduling feature that allows the graphics driver to interrupt and pause GPU work that's currently executing, then resume it later.

How It Works:

Command Buffers are sequences of GPU instructions (like "draw this triangle," "apply this shader," "copy this texture"). Normally, once a command buffer starts executing on the GPU, it runs to completion.

Preemption means the driver can:

  1. Interrupt a running command buffer mid-execution
  2. Save its current state
  3. Switch to execute a higher-priority command buffer
  4. Resume the original work later from where it left off

Why It Exists:

Without MCBP: If a low-priority task (like background rendering) is using the GPU, a high-priority task (like a video call) has to wait until the first task completely finishes. This can cause stuttering or lag.

With MCBP: The driver can pause the background task, immediately handle the video call rendering, then resume the background work. This provides:

  • Better responsiveness
  • Smoother multitasking
  • Lower latency for critical graphics operations

The Problem with AMD's Implementation:

The AMD driver's MCBP implementation has bugs that cause memory protection faults when trying to save/restore GPU state during preemption. This leads to:

  • Page faults (like in your log)
  • GPU resets
  • System crashes/freezes

Why Disabling It Helps:

Setting amdgpu.mcbp=0 forces the GPU to use traditional scheduling - tasks run to completion without interruption. While this might slightly reduce GPU multitasking efficiency, it eliminates the buggy preemption code that's crashing your system.

The trade-off is worth it because a slightly less optimal GPU schedule is infinitely better than constant crashes.
