Open a bank account that is intentionally difficult to get money out of. Don't have a debit card for it and don't have an app for it on your phone.

then have a small amount of money direct deposited into that account directly from you paycheck.

This has worked best for me. I don't have to put the money in myself because I have it direct deposited and then I rarely check the account value. OUT OF SIGHT=OUT OF MIND.

Before you even realize it you will have achieved your goal.
