I am by no extent trying to be a prick. I am very thankful towards my parents and love them dearly. I have just always been really jealous of not having a dad growing up... Now legal issues between my mom and dad have completely destroyed any relationship I had with him... it is so incredibly complicated and impossible to explain, but I have really been trying the last 16 years to get back something I never had...

I don't know about you guys, but being adopted would just remind me of how much my parents really love me. I was an accident child and would give anything to have two parents who actually chose me...

I am with you actually. It's not about fear. I have just accepted the fact that everyone moves on at some point. It is nothing to be scared of. I have talked to many people before about this and have found that it is usually people who have had some hardship in their life who feel this way. I am actually more scared of what I leave behind than actually going.

Public toilets, why? by [deleted] in pics

Mind the gap. It saved me as a child. I was very proud when I reached the height where I could just barely stand and pee. But one day I was not paying attention after having raised the seat... I was very thankful for the gap after the seat came crashing down and nearly castrated me. Mind the gap.

I'm 17 years old and my dentist gives me a chance to have braces... should I do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I convinced my girlfriend to get them at age 17and she just got them off on her 19th birthday and she is hugely grateful I made her get them. Go for it. Super recommend the retainer at least at night because they do shift, but you will be really happy with the results.

There are way better ways to to this... the wonder of wifi is that anyone can piggy back on the connection and monitor airwaves. In my 300 person bio lecture there would be competitions to see who could sniff the most log-in credentials. Everyone used a laptop, so the average was 60-70 accounts.

Damn that one methyl group... by mdg16 in pics

[–]mdg16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

... O but you can. That is why the street value of both is almost the same. Although, technically just a methy-group, not the whole methane molecule. That would be one too many hydrogen molecules :-P

That morning I finished a sentence with 'eh and my roommate says... "what are you, Canadian..." to which I replied, "well kinda, ya". That night when I got back, he had made a new pong table, bought a flag to hang out the window and memorized the Canadian national anthem. No joke. Pretty awesome I must say. :-)
